Lamai hotel

Good chance I'll be going to Samui for a few nights and if so my choice is the hotel that I stayed in last time. The Marina Beach Resort (Not Marina Villa) is an excellent value.

However if they're all booked up, I found another place that others recommend and sems very cost effective, the Wanta:

No pics available of the Marina Beach resort but here's a pic of the Wanta's 950 baht standard room. In Lamai you can get some real shitholes for 950 baht.

The Wanta appears to be a couple of minutes walk from the Marina Beach resort. Great location!

I asked the Lamai Wanta if there was a joiner fee and got the following response:

Dear Mr. PigDogg,

Thanks for the message.

We have reserved 1 standroom and waitlist for bungalow as requested.

Regarding your possible joiner, there's no charge for that. We advise that you be discreet when bringin someone in. We may stop you if you have a company when you are completely drunk. We are not happy to see more than 1 joiner at a time and if she is going to hang out with you all day, please inform the front desk. We don't want to mistake her with your serious girlfriend and facilitate her to get to your safety deposit box. If you hardly know the person, we'd like to see you escort her in and out if you can. Funny enough, they tend to take guest shoes and hotel towels !

It's the strangest email I've ever got from a hotel.

I take it as a good sign but am interested in other opinions.

I planning on spending my whole time there with just one ladyboy who's not the type who steals towels. Btw, I know farangs who steal towels!

if she's not going to be in Samui, I'll skip it altogether and save the airfare cause I hear November is not the best month weatherwise and tidewise for Samui.
