Uber Thailand merges with Grab

Thailand is now merged with the Grab ride hailing platform.

Grab combines taxis and private car services.
Grab and Uber combined services this year.

Uber was illegal in Thailand before but seems to be ok now.
However the Thailand page on Grab shows a Green and Yellow taxi.

I would suspect in Thailand there is some deal with regular taxis and TAT private cars.
From what i have read on a few sites, the Uber type service is more expensive that taxis.
The taxi consortium in Thailand had to be worked in I'm sure.

In Honolulu Uber is now allowed to park and wait at our Honolulu International Airport. How convenient. In Suwanabhumi Airport I think there is a shuttle bus that will take you to Pattaya. You just have to walk all the way to a far end of the airport with your heavy luggage. You can thank the airport Mafia for that. I read this a few years ago so don't know if this service is still there. Thailand is a corrupt country in a lot of ways especially with the taxi business.
