The Thai government introduced its alcohol ban forbidding people from advertising alcoholic drinks and brand names and logos in 2008, but there seems to have been a new effort to crackdown on social media promotions recently.
"The three promoters were arrested overnight on 31 July after posting a five-minute long Facebook live video on 23 July promoting ?buy one, get one [free]? beer sale in revealing outfits for a bar in Saraburi?s Muang district, reported The Nation."
Big dogs had a promotion where you get a free drink if you post a picture of yourself in the bar on Facebook and tag Big Dogs.
I guess it was a bad idea for us to do that. Funny the bar itself would not be held responsible for these types of things.
