Since 2014 it has been illegal to import and possess e-cigarettes and vaporizers meant for nicotine in Thailand. I believe they also made Shisha and equipment illegal too.
However recently it has been reported that the law has been enforced against some tourists to Thailand making them pay fines.
The highest penalty seems to be 10 years in prison but this most likely for severe offenders and smugglers.
Many have reported being fined on the spot up to 5000 baht, even some were taken in to jail for a short time then let free on bail pending a court date.
So tourists should be wary of bringing these into the country along with the e-juice. Also not to be seen using these in public.
I bought my first e-cigarette in Thailand 8 years ago and never had any problem bringing them in and out since, or using them.
However now maybe I will think twice, usually i smoke marlboros when there anyway as I like to smoke and drink together.
I don't smoke cigarettes much back home but I do vape regularly.
