i have bad experience with air asia.. fly from bali to KL.. they were delayed a few hours, makes me nervous and yes i got lefted on my next flight to BKK. and they didn't changed ticket and told me to buy new ticket... so i get my next flight to BKK by Lufthansa...
and the luggage limited only for 15 kgs, so i have to pay extra luggage which is much less price of new ticket...

    no more air asia...

      air asia rocks~~~

I've booked seven flights next march for around $200USD
      through asia.. all taxes paid....

Yes.. 15kg is the limit..... but really... who cares... what the F$@# are you carrying around Asia that weights more than 15kg in the first place?

And occasionally they are late... but shit happens... get over it...

When i pay $20USD from phuket to bangkok including taxes... i can live with a 20 min delay....

I look forward to Melbourne to KL flights from 500AUD....

      Low cost airlines rock~~~

Gotta side with Air Asia in all my flights with them. Never been late, no lost luggage and no flight problems. When I do carry more than the baggage limit that is my choice and I accept the consequences of having to pay. I know going in when I am booking that the great fares listed are not in fact even close to what I am going to pay. After they add on the various taxes and fees I still think that I am getting a very good deal. A big thumbs up from this happy traveler.

Flight Center Brisbane have just released a deal with Singapore Air. One night Singapore 4 star hotel, 5 nights BK 4 star hotel 3 nights Phuket 4 star hotel. All taxes, buffet breaklfast each day Oct 07/Nov 28 /07. April 08 to June 10/08 $1299.00 oz from Brisbane return. Thats some fucking deal. Booking has to be paif for by October 12 /07. I guess thats the hitch if you can book that far in advance or short notice as for this year.

The only things with Air Asia that crashes is the damn website !!
I tried to price a trip to Australia for January and couldn't get it to work !!! And this happens everytime they have a promo.

But as an airline they are fine, everyone bitches about them being late, but I see no difference between them and Thai on domestic routes, and they are certainly better than flying within the USA

Hey you coming down under Snick? You will have to put Melbourne on your itinerary and if I am around I can give you the lay of the land.

Also never had a problem with Air Asia except for them being late which has been almost every time I have travelled with them however usually only 20-30 minutes.

Why don't you try Jetstar they fly direct BKK to Melbourne and you can get some pretty cheap fares with them.

I was just checking prices, haven't made any plans...but I will have to go to Brisbane at some point.
Is is worth it to transit thru Bali ?

I would not recommend booking two separate flights with Air Asia (as connections). If the first flight is late and you miss the second flight, Air Asia will not honor the ticket and will make you buy a new one, even if it was their fault they were late on the first flight.

Single flights, no problems, just don't be late!
