  • Airfare price (Bangkok to Cebu)

    Does anyone know if it is cheaper to book with Expedia.com or with the Nana/Dynasty tour desk? Expedia currently has the ticket for $264 USD for the dates im planning (10/09-10/14).

    thx.

      ..they have direct flights from BKK to Cebu? I thought all overseas flights stopped at Manila 1st, then u catch a ride to ur next destination?

      ..check out Cheap Tickets or ORBITZ last b4 u use EXPEDIA.. sometimes u can get a better deal booking locally but they can also gouge u too because ur a tourist, & we know all tourists are rich arent they??  I did get an email from PAL they have summer specials on now & u can get discounts fares flying from Manila to any of the major cities there.. my next round trip will cost $1650 (taxes incl) going frm SFO to BKK, BKK to MNL, then MNL back to SFO via CATHAY PACIFIC, my favorite overseas airline!

      ..ORBITZ Travel website
      ..try CHEAP TICKETS last & see if they don't have the best rates!

        That's very cheap. I haven't checked exactly, but the several times I've booked from here, I never got $264 USD, and I know an agent personally for a long time. Unless there's a special, it's more like $500 USD. You have to go thru Manila.

          ..whoooa it's expensive if ya book thru PAL, almost $400 at current exchange rates ($1=32thb).. & look at the tax they add on, over 4000 baht, that's 1/2 the airfare!!

            Expedia is doing some type of advertisement switcheroo. They will show a price at $264 and when you try to book it they come up with a message that the price has changed and you must call.

            I checked several websites and it seems to run from $400USD (PAL) to ~$600 (orbitz).

              Or you can always go via Manila

              BKK- MNL => 2100 Baht + tax
              MNL €“ Cebu => 500 Php + Tax

              Will end up at just below 150 USD incl. tax (little bit depending on the dates you are flying)

                I'm planning to travel from BKK to MNL on Oct 24 returning Nov 1. I was planning on getting a ticket after I get to BKK on the 22. I can't imagine MNL being a hot ticket, but will I end up paying more or maybe get shutout all together on those dates ?

                  Should be ok I think. I've bought several tickets at the last minute. But it all depends on if there is some unknown special event that creates a rush.
