Club 131 ~ A Review

(I won't add any pictures to this post as there are plenty on the bar owners own thread which I highly recommend.)

A large part of what makes our trips to Thailand so successful is the atmosphere and enjoyment we have in the bars.

We are made up of different personalities and we each have our own preferences as to the kind of ladyboys we like... and this is where the Club 131 bar in Pattaya hits its' stride.

Located on Soi Yamat0 (13/1) off the Beach Road, Club 131 starts it's day at 6PM and closes when you get tired!

There are a lot of things to like here... the music is played low and it's not always that horrible dance bollocks either. The drink prices are good and the service is crisp and efficient, always.

There were always a few girls in attendance from the opening bell, but if you are looking for the 20 or so that are apparently 'on staff' then you'll have a bit of a wait!

But the best thing about the club is the variety of girls not the quantity. There's a maid for all men here. Amazonian predators or shy femboys... they all dance attendance at Francks club.

This is the number 1 spot for guys who are meeting up with a mate for a drink. There is no place else that you can go to in the whole of Pattaya that let's you drink unmolested with your mates yet still be withing close ogling distance of at least one girl that you want to shag!

Since that Liou girl left the atmosphere has also improved dramatically. And that's not just my opinion. I asked the bar owner and the girls about this and my instincts about that pest were correct, so she's much better away from there according to all those I spoke to.

The Portugese Franck is an amiable host and seems to enjoy his work! In fact if ever there was a person who felt the need to 'couch test' his product then it was this man!

But I won't barfine anyone from Club 131, ever... and here's why...

The only problem I have with this bar is that there is a lack of discretion and privacy. It seems that your personal business is fair game to the ongoing soap opera of action here.

But this is just a personal quirk of mine as I am pretty much a loner on the Pattaya scene and I don't want my every move talked and written about or even jokingly hinted about. Having spoken to some regulars who drink there and some friends of this forum, I get the feeling that I'm probably over reacting and should loosen up!

So in conclusion... there is much to like about the Club 131 bar. It's certainly the best place in Pattaya to meet up and have a drink with if you want to see ladyboys dancing, preening and generally just wiggling about - and let's face it - most of us reading this do, right?

There are certain other inconsistancies and niggling concerns that I have about some aspects of this organisation, however they are things that generally won't affect the casual visitor so I'll keep the details and specifics to myself.

If you like ladyboys (of any description) the  Club 131 is a must go stop on your visit to Pattaya.

Sometimes your really have no clue Stogie. You tell people not to believe ladyboys but then will believe what a bar owner says about his own bar. What did you think he was going to say it has declined since she left? With all due respect Frank who is a nice enough bloke how can you take his word for this?

I think the reason you don't like her is she likes to actually have fun and not just sit and around and grumble.

I have to say I found no problems at all when I visited.

I would add though that it was in the afternoon (during songkran) and there was not another customer there at the time (except for one guy sat in the entrance - possibly it was Franck ?!?!??!).

Maybe I was just lucky to get the attention of the few staff and ladies there. Seeing as Am, Liou (I think) and Pui were there (those are the names I remember from the photos posted) - it was great!! Had to plump for Am .............. which I add visibly cheesed off the other very pretty girl ....... I am pretty sure it was Liou or whatever.

Then again - I think if the bar had been full, and if I had to go upstairs and come back down again in full view of all the punters ................ it might have been a bit different. After a skin full of ale though - I am sure that would make no difference .......... am talking about evenings and nights now.

Just my observations from one afternoon visit!

Would definitely go again - but must try in the evening

I'd imagine one of the biggest reasons Liou left was financially driven. lets face it, she came from the bright lights and bigger money of Bangkok to help frank out as he got the bar on its feet - personally I never expected her to stay very long and as soon as she had got her tits done, i'd have guessed its time to move on. Just my own take on it. without a doubt she is a smart cookie - the term dumb blonde could not be used with her - maybe thats why some people dont like her as she is capable of her own thought processes and in my mind at least, I think she a game plan mapped out for her future. I would not be surprised if she eventually starts her own bar in Bangkok as I think she has the drive to do it and a maturity level way beyond her years.

...sort of my feelings too DD and Ozzie.....I had written her off before I even made my first visit to Pattaya based on Forum comments and "quotes" she apparently had made which by the time they reached the Forum were third or fourth hand.

Once arriving at 131, I sat at the bar, was hounded by Pat but struck up a conversation with a bright, articulate girl sitting next to me. We must have talked for an 1 1/2 hrs before I asked her name.......turns out it was Liou. She said she was 18-19, in school in BKK and I had guessed her age at 23-25 which depressed her but I had based that on her maturity, English ability and general ability to talk about many subjects.....quite different from what I would have expected based on prior Forum comments. I too think she probably has a plan as she seems focused on something other than short or long times. During our 1 1/2 hr talk, she never once mentioned(nor did I) sex, let's go upstairs, buy me a drink, or the typical bar girl banter. I doubt if she really even wants to spend time with old guys(like me) even if the money is good.

She told me that she only visits 131 on weekends. Whether she is thru with that too, only Franck can tell us. I remember seeing an earlier thread that said she wanted her e-mail and phone posted on the Forum......after having spoken with her that night, I'm very surprised she wanted that info posted.....seems out of character. If I was under 30 yrs old, I think I'd be on her like a "coat of paint" to find out what really makes her tick......

Great atmosphere and some smokin hot ladyboys.

And Franck is an exceptional host!

There's an old Christmas movie where the Macy's Santa sends customers to Gimbels. Well Franck brings his customers down the street to Stringfellows to see the show. Now that's over and above the call of duty.

Make 131 your first stop in Pattaya. I highly recommend it.

I would NEVER barfine any girl S/T and use their rooms upstairs in the bars they work and thats including the 131 Bar, Guess Bar , Stringfellow's etc etc etc

I too like discretion and privacy and not a public show after finishing "the deed"
I find it too "seedy" but then again I do L/T and I explained that to a certain girl at the 131 bar and it lasted 15 nights

The only time I was guilty of S/T was on my first night in   when I had bar- fined Jenny (guess bar) at 6-30pm and took her back to my room as she was tired - i.e . she wanted  to watch TV  and I went back "on the piss" with the lads

I fell for the charms of a lady in Temptations named joyjoy ( wearing a black bikini ) later that night and went to a "loom" somewhere ( not the bar) and did S/T with her only because I had Jenny in my room waiting for me

What does this mean? It is a ladyboy bar after all where the prime objective is for the customer to stay and drink and then take a girl upstairs for some short time action. This is no different to any other bar from that perspective.

The short time rooms here are actually very good. Besides not having any soap in the shower the night I went but otherwise were clean.

Yes she is actually quite mature and can manage to put 3 words together maybe that is why Stogie does not like her as she has her own opinions and does not just say "up to you".

I realise I am harping a bit here but to form an opinion of someone having never spoken to her is one thing but to then tell all and sundry the bar is better since she left is just plain ridiculous.

I've spoken to this person at length on two separate occasions. Now you are simply making stuff up to support your argument. Stick to posting what you actually know to be true and confine your statements to facts, not what you think may be the case!

Actually the bar and the girls prime objective. They want to customers to stay and drink as that is how they make their money and the girls would like to then take the punter upstairs for some short time action as it is convenient and they can get back to bar in the hope of getting another customer for the night. You are a self confessed hater of layboy bars in general so not sure if your opinion even matters in here.

My review of the bar was a purely personal opinion that I know won't be shared by everyone. You are welcome to add your own.

I met Liou with Franck and another 131 girl the day before the bar opened and we all retired to one of the rooms upstairs for a chat and a look around. (I'm nosey that way.) The next day on the opening I again met with Liou and spend several minutes through out the evening engaged in conversation with her. On a subsequent occasion I was in Club 131 with a member of this forum and had another talk with Liou who eventually got the hint and went off to play pool with someone else.

I have spoken to her very briefly again, but nothing more than passing pleasantries on that fourth occasion so it could quite easily have been forgotten.

So my personal view of this girl is based on solid evidence and experience of her company. My view is that she is annoying. Nothing more - nothing less.

Why would you want to start making up stuff about me in order to prove a point that she is a nice person? Do you have an agenda to deliberately discredit me with lies? I don't understand why anyone would simply blurt out crap if they didn't even know if it was even true...

Call me anything you like but a liar I am not. Just because I made the false assumption you never spoke to her to call me a liar is a bit rich.


Interesting how if I state my opinion I must have a personal agenda, but you on the other hand can state what you like without such connotations.
I have no personal agenda at all just that I have had more than a passing conversation with this girl and I find her very pleasant and fun to be with again stating my opinion no lies here just fact. My opinion is supported by others who have already posted in this thread.
