I spotted a couple freelancing in the Brewery Pub underneath the Hilton hotel.

One was extremely cute as well, the others less so.

There is a main area with bars and small hotels and restaurants just a block back from the sea hugging 5 star hotels like the Hilton.  Soi Bin TaBant is the main bar street, maybe 12-20 bars with a cross soi with 12 more bars.  There are about 5 other small bar enclaves scattered around town.  There are two cabaret shows that have katoeys and all seemed to be ready to date--the audiences for the shows are small and money is low.  Aside from the cabaret shows several bars have katoey like the banana beer bar, which has three or four.  Other bars nearby have 3 in the bar.  There seems to be a double number of katoey in the town since last year.  There is no go go in the town.  Most bars have pool tables and bar fines are 300 baht.  1000 baht will get you all night.

Update on Hua Hin. The Banana Bar changed hands and reopened under a different name. No more ladyboys there. Starfish Bar near the end of Soi Bintabaht has two ladies usually on hand who are attractive and versatile. After hours, there's a warren of small karaoke bars between Hilton and Sofitel. These places stay open and usually there are ladies cruising. The Hilton disco is charging a cover now, and that's reduced the traffic there. For the adventurous, if you ride out just past the King's palace, there's a new bar on the left. Can't think of the name, but it's hard to miss as it stands by itself, is very modern and has more parking than I've ever seen for a bar in Thailand. There's a gorgeous ladyboy on the waitstaff there who will do you in the lady's room. She's a barebacker, though, so be warned.
