Gettin frustrated here , im lookin for a cheap flight from Newcastle or Manchester to Bangkok on
saturday 9th june to sun 24th june
cant seem to find anything under £550
is that the right price for june or what ?
any info appreciated

Its about right unless you want to take 24 hours and a zillion stop overs to get get there

Yoo may want to wait until about 13 weeks before your flight and see if you can pick up a flight cheaper. its seems to be around the 13 week mark that the airlines bottle it and reduce their prices to fill the planes especially for mid week flights

Ask an agent to check Qatar. They usually have some good deals too.

You should get a good deal flying out of Manchester with Etihad airways, good flying times and just as good as Emirates
I used them in November and got my flight for £409 and will be using them again in May

But from Newcastle, I just saw a quote of £545 with KLM which I would say is not too bad as you would have less hassle of travelling, Im presuming you live in  the north-east here whereas Im only 20 minutes away from Manchester Airport

I din't know about from the UK but June is considered the start of the summer high season, with the traditional vacations. Maybe thats the cause of the high price.

Opod quote £528 from Manchester for those dates with a stopover in Istanbul...flying with Turkish airlines. I reckon thats about as good as you will get

Found a Qatar airways flight from Manchester for £476 Expedia

Their price for Newcastle was £550.

Try adjusting your dates by a day or two - ie out on Sunday 10th back Monday 25th could be £50-70 cheaper.

I dont envy guys flying to BKK out of Manchester via Heathrow today with BA because they have cancelled ALL the flights  

This is due to the MAD winds we have been experiencing in the UK over the last 24 hours

Dave from Feb 1st the Tax is going up from the current £20 to the new price of £40 .
Some airlines are carrying the extra cost and some Airlines will be asking for the extra £20.
Even if you have tickets allready paid for before this Feb 1st hike, this is all thank's to Gordon Brown, and to think he isn't even in Power yet, Ye Gads

Thanks Tel , I thought it was going to be similar to the Thai thing where you pay the 500baht airport tax , not that I mind paying the tax, its the leaving of that I hate
