Taking Your New Friend Places

Has anyone had any problems in bringing their new ladyboy friend to various places in Pattaya. Such as out to dinner, shopping, etc.

I more or less realize that Pattaya is like a giant "whorehouse," (more or less), but wondering if having ladyboy in tow will create problems. On vacation I like to visit some of the fancier resturants, and I'm not sure if bringing guest would upset things. I would not want to put the ladyboy or myself for that matter in an uncomfortable position. For example I would love to take a guest to the seaside Italion resturant at the Dusit, but am unsure of my welcome.

Does anyone have any guidence on what venues outside the bedroom, would or would not cause problems.

Your comfort level will be determined by the type of girl you are with and your own self-consciousness. I have no problems taking Gif anywhere at all and to be frank I don't even think about that stuff.

You wouldn't take a bargirl to the Dusit and you wouldn't take your wife to a short time hotel!

Relax and just use yer noggin'! You'll be fine.

got stuck trying to get flights one xmas had to to a mini package holiday stayed 5 nights royal cliff then make my own arrangement
asked about guests when i checked in told i would have to pay500 thats in 1990 when it was 38 to the pound
so i thought fuck them those 5 nights i brought the most dirty looking sluts back to the hotel
they didnt say a word

Amor Restaurant between Pattayland Soi 2&3 from memory is owned by a gay guy as are most of the staff, you would have zero problems in there and the food is very very good European.

Bruno's was opened by a gay guy - its very very gay friendly and the punters are for the most part very open minded. Current owner (the chef guy) is not gay as I have seen him in countless lady gogo bars but he is also very open minded.

These are two of the best restaurants outside of hotels in Pattaya and you will be hard pressed to find this quality for the same price in Bangkok or anywhere else in Thailand.

There are countless other acceptable restuarants where basically they dont give a fig who you come in with just so long as your capable of paying the bill.

Some of the 5* hotels may be a bit snooty, but they will not refuse you unless your not dressed properly for their restaurant, but that would happen with whomever your with be it a girl, LB or martian.

By the way the Dusit Italian is not that great - plenty of better quality restaurants in town. The Chinese in the Dusit though is very good.

Strange as it may seem, you could eat in different restaurants in Pattaya for 2 weeks and never experience a bad meal - the choice is huge and they are all relatively cheap. Even Bruno's which is considered the best restaurant in town, you will be hard pressed to spend more than 1000 baht a head on food and can easily be done without scimping for 500 baht a head. Incidentally, this is a full silver service restaurant with all the starched table linens and explemplary service from a team who have been there for years - heck they even have a little Plastic A thing with my name on it thats always on my table when I book. Very nice place for a dinner and located between Pattaya and Jomtien.

I brought a ladyboy to the Sugar Hut and had no problems.  The Sugar Hut has a few tables where u can sit on the floor although it's mostly tables.  Good food and an atmosphere that I like.  But mostly "respectable people"         instead of homongers eat there.

Renoir's at the Flamingo Hotel is very ladyboy friendly.
Jaap the Dutch owner is a very nice guy who would come over and do some good natured flirting with my ladyboy comapanion at Mai Thai the more casual restaurant in the Flamingo making everyone feel comfortable.

Getting refused outright is unlikely.
Getting attitude is based more on how she dresses and behaves than the fact she is a LB.

A few discos ( Lucifer for instance ), have a no-lb policy.

Perhaps the word "fancy" resturant overstated the case. I guess I'm meaning in Pattaya, a resturant that does not have fried bugs on the menu, and perhaps also has table and chairs.

Snick, what's the rationale for no-LB policy at these discos? I've only heard of that in Pattaya and Phuket but never in Bangkok.

From what I remember Lucifer was raided by the Police last year for lude acts.... maybe the ladyboys had something to do with this?  

I went in there this year and it was like an LA Club with lots of young people in there. There was some black guy on stage singing rap acting like he's 50 cent and he had this Thai chick singing with him... not too bad a show but I didn't stay in there to long. When you're on Walking Street you don't want to waste the night in there watching a want-a-be 50 cent .... Actually he was more like a want-a-be 5 baht.

It varies a lot, some don't let in ladyboys at all; some try and keep out freelancers..so going in with a LB is ok, but they can't go alone, etc...

In Pattaya - Lucifers doesn't allow any LB
Marine Disco - not sure of exact policy, but I think they try and keep out freelancers

Phuket - Tiger Disco, tries to keep out freelancers

Bangkok - Hollywood disco was not letting in LB for a couple of months, but that seems to have past. Not sure what the story is/was.

Someone once told me Spasso in Hyatt Erawan charged LB a 500B cover, so only the most attractive (i.e. lucrative) could come it. Not sure if thats true or not.

There are one or two places where LB's are not that welcome in Pattaya, Marine above Jannys has a no LB policy, Lucifers has always been a bit anti LB, even when escorted. Tony's had a policy of charging un-escorted LB's 150baht to get in which included one free drink. The GG's are in for nothing & they pay 60baht for there cheap drinks, 1 hieneken beer, if you don't believe me, then watch whats going on, rather than gazing around at the girating masses.

Lucifers is the biggest death trap waiting to happen in Pattaya and probably Thailand - seriously an unsafe place - one entry/exit corridor which is a meter wide and 30 meters in length and a typical attendance of over 800 people - they have no fire exits whatsoever and when the police raided it last year, there were a lot of casualties are people tried to rush the doors - and that was with the police in attendance and NO FIRE. Sorry, but I dont set foot in that place.

Think Angels disco in the Nana Hotel may not allow ladyboys. Pretty sure the Grace Coffeshop doesn't either.
