Headed to LOS and thinking about staying in Phuket the entire time. Spent all my other times in Pattaya and BKK...never been to Phuket. To me it seems to be the same as Pattaya? Opinions??

What time of the year ?, Phuket in rainy season is...well..wet.
My take is that there are more LB and more FUN in Pattaya. But Phuket is definetly more upscale and a better beachs. The girls on Soi Bangla are HOT, but more mercenary than Pattaya. Hard to get a good GFE in Phuket.

Phuket - well Patong Beach anyway is much smaller scale and less in-your-face that Pattaya. Its also more expensive, but the beaches are nicer and I preferred it to Pattaya.Too old to die young!Comment

It all depends what you really, really want, LB's or nice town & beaches.
LB's: Pattaya hands down. Its swarming with them, i am there now!! So many LB's so little time, as 69Billy would say.
Beaches: Phuket no question.Robin

How much I wished Pattaya had a nice beaches
Been to Pattaya 8-9 times .only 4 times got in to the water and that was just for to piss in it...

I can't remeber Pattaya ever having nice beaches, Jomtien used to be OK untill they smothered it in Hotels, even the beaches on the islands are starting to deteriorate.
