Philipines vs. bangkok

If you had 8 days to spare (from NYC), where would you go, keeping in mind that it's 2 full days traveling to Thailand/Philipines? Personal safety, convenience, lb friendliness, and versatility are the main factors. What's the surest way to find out if an lb is into topping?

Never been to the 'Pines, but I would say you could definately not go wrong in Bangkok - it's where the term ladyboy was born. You will have no worries in BKK if you go to Nana every night.

As for finding out if a ladyboy is into topping, you could try asking her.

Convenience; THAILAND! 5 Ladyboy bars in just Nana Plaza. Plus many more around. Try finding just 'one' Ladyboy bar in Phil.
LB Friendliness; with 300,000 ladyboys in Thailand you can't do better then THAILAND!
Versatility; again, 300,000 ladyboys and lots of bars that just cater to Ladyboy lovers... you can't get any better then THAILAND!

If you have never been to either the LOS without doubt. The Philippines is not quite a destination for the uniniciated.

But don't strike it off your "to do" list.

You would probably feel more comfortable in the Phils due to the fact that even the stones speak an acceptable english.
However, there are plenty of deterrents in the Phils and that can be quite frustrating when in Bangkok you will find a more care-free attitude and not really need to watch your back at every step.
As for LBs, of course the choice in Thailand is much higher compared to the Phils, but if you look in some threads in here you will find some nice LBs who would be more than happy to be your friend.
So, it really depends what you are looking for.

I have been to both places three times in 2005. Thailand is a zillion times better, especially regarding the above mentioned details. Cebu has some beautiful ladyboys but no real scene. The Philippines might be better if you wanted to find a ladyboy "wife" or long time relationship.

Deffo THAILAND hands down. Probably more user friendly and much safer. cannot go wrong with the talent on offer. The only thing that PhL has over Thailand is the girls speak english much better. BTW I live in Queens and I ahve yet to find a honey like MING!!! s far as getting topped goes, try Talisha at Casanovas-cant go wrong with her. In fact, most if not all the girls at Casas will top you with a huge smile on their faces!!! BE CAREFUL OUT THERE!!

Well, I've seen some in San Francisco (but well, it's San Francisco, you'd hope at least SF would have some), but the only time I've noticed TS/TV/TGs was in NYC. Apparently there's a transexual porn star by the name of Allanah who puts on shemale parties every month in NYC. I used to visit that site, why I don't know, because if anyone of you have seen it, they can't hold a candle to even the ugliest ladyboy. Anyways, she runs a forum as well for people to post pics of the parties/themselves and what not, and believe it or not, someone posted some ATS pics of Mickey (I think it was a link to a promo page probably). Thats how I learned about ATS and within a few days forgot all about Allanah's site. Haven't gone back to the site since. all of north america combined is no match for the one square block around nana plaza - unless you just have to have a natural blonde.
i'm about to hit LOS for the third time and stumbled on a good airline deal thru philippines, so wondering about stopping off in manila or angeles city or cebu, but so far, i think those days would be better spent ANYwhere in LOS. Any opinions here to the contrary? i am NOT looking for a ladyboy wife, but the speaking english part i admit is appealing...it's just so f***ing comfortable for me already in bangkok and phuket and pattaya and i hear way too much 'be careful out' there about the whole PI situation...i think maybe my new 'adventure' will be trying out chaing mai and/or hua hin for the first time. starting out with how do i correctly spell their names!

If you only have eight days you want it to be easy.

The PI has no bar infrastructure making it impossible to navigate without pre-contact.   In NEP, you have four ladyboy bars with lots of beautiful girls.  Cascade is like Lake Wobegon, all the ladyboys are above average.  Don't pre-contact, it's counterproductive.

So stay in the Nana area there are hotels of all price ranges.  The Omni is a good choice if you want to pay 2000 a night, but there are also  many fine 1000 baht places taht are a minute or two away from these four bars.

I would recomend a day trip to Pattaya.  If you wake up early one day and you're in the mood, take the skytrain, elevated like the 7 train, but much nicer and cheaper, to Ekamai station and then take the bus down (100 baht).  Bring a change of clothes and consider checking for one night in hotel with a safe.  But keep your Bangkok hotel.  On the way back you take the  bus or pay 800 baht for a taxi.  Do a shorttime at Hi Boss.  At night go barhoping, there's a bar within a minute of everywhere in Pattaya.

If you have 60K Star Alliance FF miles consider the 11:45 PM from Newark to Singapore on Sing connecting to BKK.   Then return on a 1AM non-stop flight on Thai to JFK arriving at 6AM.  This is the most efficient use of your time, but is too expensive if you don't have the 60K miles.

Re topping, Casanova is the bar that has the gratest percentage of tops.  It's not a question of willingness to top, but rather some of the the girls are so juiced up on hormones they can't. Ask.  Say, "you fuck me" or "you get strong".

Arrange to meet up with some Forum members on the first night to show you the ropes.  If you're with a guy living in Thailand, make sure to put the drink chits in your bucket.

I've been to both LOS + PIN. As a tourist, I feel much safer in Thailand, despite the language barrier. I know it all depends on which part of town you go to, but that's my finding.
Also, as many of the members stated: The ladyboys are better concentrated - such as in Nana, Patong Beach, and cabarets.
It's like Vegas, the slot machines are all out in the open.
Hmmm.. somehow "slot" doesn't quite compare.
