Incher-There's availabilty at the Omni Tower. I enjoyed my stay there; it's a short stroll from NEP.

IMPORTANT: Become a Ascott member, it's free and then your room rate becomes a little cheaper.

Was just looking at the Majestic Suites Website which is a favorite of many punters and they posted the following selling points:

High room security with micro-chip transponder key dialock locking system ( The only hotel in Thailand ).
Individual safe in the convenience of your room
Personal refrigerator with fully stocked mini-bar
Remote controlled colored television with multi channeled satellite programs
Bedside electrical control unit with alarm clock
          International direct dial
Private bathroom with electrical shaving outlet, hair dryer and other amenities
          Individual room sprinkler system
          Laundry Service

Three things jump out at me:

fully stocked minibar: is that a selling point or a warning?

laundry service: who needs you as a friggin middleman?

international direct dial: wonder how much that costs?

if you're traveling on business, well who cares, but it seems most of their valued guests are here for monkey business.

Not picking on the Majestic, it always seems to get good reviews and is always a safe choice.

try www.wotif.com - an ozzie site that has good deals, and they are showing lots of availability for that period.

This is another good reservation service based in Thailand: http://www.asiarooms.com/thailand/bangkok.html

Unlike many of the hotel "consolidator" agencies, Asiarooms.com offers nice customer service (should you need to change dates, etc) as well as good discounted rates

As their offices are located in BKK they know the local scene intimately

Just remember you must book a minimum of 3 working days in advance

What about if I was to use that "Individual room sprinkler system"

Bet that would cost alot but for sure would be fun to have a few wet ladyboys join that soaking!

Thanks gang, I felt your love. Did manage to get the booking I wanted by just switching off Asiarooms and going with another service. I have learned over the years that sometimes some of the booking services try to steer you Must be more Baht involved.
