Bkk vs. phuket vs. pattaya

I am heading to BKK soon.  In the past, I spent most of my time in BKK and some time in Patong Beach, Phuket.  I found Patong and Cocktails & Dreams to be the most relaxing (i.e., lack of pressure, music not too loud, pleasant during the day, etc.).

Have any members surveyed the LB activity in BKK, Pattaya, and Phuket recently?  Any recommendations?

There are too many former long-time LB friends in BKK to make it really comfortable - bad butterfly tendencies yields pretend angry LBs in my wake.

BKK is tops by a long long way.IMO. On any night you can easily find around 150-200 Ladyboys between the main bars.
Plus all the other nooks and crannies where they hide out.


I spoken to two guys recently who flew straight back from Phuket as is was so dead in there opinion. I thnk ill go back there in August to be honest. We do need some more feedback on this place.

Pattaya is OK and i guess about 15% of what BKK can offer but there arnt so many beauties but i nearly always go as it is a bit less stressfull than the Big Traffic Jam (BKK).

Maybe your best bet is to take a girly from BKK to Pattaya for a few days.

Talking about Butterflys, i was with a fellow member the other day for whom every girl i spoke to said ,, him, big Butterfly,,.

I suppose they say the same about me ..mmmmm..i wonder

What Tomcat said, Bangkok is #1...Phuket is D E A D, very few lookers and those that are are usually more interested in getting tip money for photos than going out with some one.

Pattaya however is FUN, only slightly behind Bangkok in quality, but still lots of cute ones. Especially late at night, go to walking street at 3am and you'll be amazed. Its also half the price of Bangkok (or less), consider it a two-for-one sale.

I will be in Phuket for 10 nights in May, so will be "testing the water" everynight at least once !! & I will of course be reporting back.

I've been informed by a friend who has spent the last 3 months in Chiang Mai that there is a thriving ladyboy scene to the North if you are willing to go a bit off the beaten track. He's got me so convinced that I am going there to check it out for myself. Since you've been to BKK so often, you should definately try to branch out. I'd suggest Chiang Mai.

Also, if you've read a lot of the trip reports and posts lately, Pattaya seems to be pretty hot these days in terms of LB action. I didn't like it my first time out, but I'm planning to go back on the advice of several board members.
