  • Where shoud i go?

I'll have 4 weeks on my trip and can spend it anywhere i want.
I'll be with my teerak so it's not important to be in mongering places.

I like Ko Samet allot so will probably spend a week there.

In Bangkok, I'd like to check out the Khao San scene and go to some clubs and discos. Don't have any real interest in going to Nana ladyboy bars. Think we'll also check out the massage school at Wat Po for a few days.

Anyone go to place in Bangkok that has snow? Does it seenm like real snow? Think she might enjoy that or is it for tourists?
    But then I'm a tourist.

Don't see the point of Phuket or Samui since I'm not looking to meet new girls. Been to Chaing Mai and don't see any real reason to go back.

There's cool island hopping tours by longtail in the andaman sea but my trip is late june and july so the water's rough over there.

So I'm looking for ideas? Maybe a upscale raft housing on a lake? But I hear that on some of these treks leeches are crawling up your leg.

Ko Chang? Don't want to that instead of Samet but will consider doing both.

What about Angor? Worth the hassle? Not sure if she has passport though. Think I'd rather stay in Thailand though.

Might wind up spending two weeks on Samet and do a super chill,I dunno.

Anyway, i'm looking for ideas and unique lodging.

Ordinary table salt sprinkled on leaches makes them drop off instantly. They won't hurt you in any case. Just the squick factor.

Angkor Wat is MAGIC, and well worth a visit. Visa is cheaper at the Cambodian Embassy in BKK rather than "on demand" at the border or Airport and you won't have to wait it what can be a very long line. If you go to Angkor take some passport photos. You will need them for the pass to the park if you buy more than a one day ticket. The Price is in USD, so best to have some. You can spend Bhat, but just take small notes, etc etc

I've done the River Kwai trip and rafting and the jungle stuff. Good trip, means more if your Oz or British because of teh war I guess. Its pretty cheap, safe and great value at around $45 Aus with accom and meal.
I also like spending time in China Town looking around and eating, theers plenty to do and its quite differant to the normal tourist areas.

Samet is always nice! Can't be wrong and it's so close!
I can only recommend a 4 days trip to Angkor. For me it's a must and I've been there 5 times already. Love the boat trip from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap. Afterwards you can fly directly from Siem Reap back to BKK. My hotel tip at Siem Reap is the Angkor Village. Beautiful wooden teakwood houses, friendly staff, nice pool - things that are kind of standard in LOS - but not in Cambo!
Kho Chang is also beautiful, still quite remote what I've heard, but haven't been there since 98 and have no actual details.

        Have fun!
