Thai air direct new service from new york

Effective May 1, 2005, Thai Air is going to have new non stop direct service from Kennedy New York to BKK--17 hours.

17 hours nonstop! Now that is a loooong haul flight.

I once did 13 hours LA to Sydney and I was at the end of my endurance. I dont mind long flights when there is a good stopover. eg Sydney - Bangkok - London.

17 hours is really not that bad if 1)the seating is comfortable and 2) you have lots of stuff to keep you occupied while you're awake. My 17 hour from Singapore to Newark was great!

Sing had 60 movies on demand, there has to be at least three or four that you want to see. Can also play chess against the computer. My seat was very spacious and even the guys who had middle seats in the 2-3-2 configuration said it was comfortable. I hear Thai has 30 mvies on demand; hope that mean they don't have half the legroom!

I will hand one to you though, when I used to go to some parts of the south (and the same in a lot of Northern cities,) and I was with my ex, I carried a pistol with me. In some places, and it can be anywhere. A bi-racial couple can be a dangerous thing to be.

I just looked into the type of Aircraft Thai's using. It's one of the new (Airbus) A345. This type of Aircraft came into service in 2002.
