Ko Sukorn is an interesting litle Muslim island in the south of Thailand. It has a brown sand beach, so not the world's most beautiful beach. But at the Ko Sukorn Beach Bungalows the three excellenet beach bungalows are probably the best rooms I've ever had directly on the beach. The other rooms are not nearly as nice. When we visited mozzies were not a problem so we kept the french doors open all night; the sound of the ocean was great.
Edit in: They refer to these three bungalows as cottages. They are FAR superior to the other accomodation and worth the extra baht. I stayed in one when it was two months old and it was only a couple of hundred baht more expensive than the other rooms. believe now they're about 500 more but worth it.
Excellent food and a cool little island for mopeds. Absolutely no P4P scene and you might feel a liitle out of place with a Thai girl, not to mention a ladyboy.
