General Election

I have a few days free over the next couple of weeks. But I do not want to be in Thailand (Phuket probably) when everything is shut down. Advice please: when will bars be closed for the Election?

Previous Elections, bars closed on the night before (July 2), and on election day itself (July 3). But there is 'advance voting' the previous weekend June 26 (when voters outside their normal voting patch can place their cross on the ballot).

I've got no inside info, but it could be worst case 4 nights, over 2 weekends, or more probably just 2 nights.

TT during Mrs Thatchers reign. There was an individual by the name of John Lyndon I believe aka Johnny Rotton. At the time of her pontificating over the next term his response was whose erection. I think he rested his case and Mr Major picked up the baton.
