    Ooh gawd...

It is vet as in veteran serviceman, not vet as in animal doctor...

But I know you are being disingenuous so I will let it slide...
Despite the high cost of living, it continues to be popular.

Sorry for not send email to you early. I just came back from visit home at Ayuthaya.

I think you may see some news about Thailand get flood many area.

And my home town get it too.

So when I been there, I can't go any where because flood is high like my half of body.

I can't keep all in house.

My mother felt upset about it.

We never know how to do, I can only told her to don't thinking too much.

I felt upset too and feel down like many people in Thailand who got this problem too.

Water everywhere - may carry sickness - very scary - most not nice.

(richmond @ Oct. 28 2010,07:39) Finally what about a bit of support from some of the B/Ms that actually know me, tell the Forum that I ampretty harmless old fart who shuffles about town looking for ladyboys that like hands up their skirt!
At the risk of being flamed as a pom (and a real smartass) by Richmond, I know him ..... and agree with his self-portrait   Btw, this (quite large) river is crossed on the motorway between BKK and Pattaya......

The Bang Pakong River originates at the confluence of the Nakon Nayok and Prachin Buri rivers and winds its way through Chachoengsao province finally ending its journey in the Gulf of Thailand some 150km's downstream.

Yes its stopped an already to slow project. I was all for moving in, in a few weeks as the renting budget has expired.

Plan B which I've yet to think up has got to start soon

The photo is the road up to mine, no way for workers to get there.

                cheers Steff

Looking on the bright side, at least the site didn't get flooded

Anyway, in a few weeks or months you'll be sitting back in your new abode and appreciating it all the more. "All good things come..."

                  Stay well mate

Ouch foggy, my condolences. I hope your property is on high ground.

Maybe I sound insensitive but its not the case at all. I do care!  But if I had to live my whole life based on how everyone might be sensitive to me.. I would not be living my life as I want it. So you can accept me and my flaws as I am or you can't.

Good to hear. Keep your spirits up and like GdeS said, in a few months you'll be just fine and lounging around the castle. Hopefully the castle will be without the moat pictured above.

Funny how threads develope. I started by worrying about wet feet and now we are concerned about Foggys new abode. Well I can now provide a retrospective weather report for the Pattaya area for the last fortnight. There were 30 spots of rain on two occasions. The teperature for us Falangs was mild for the locals it was "yen yen' and long sleeves were the order of the day and yes the main drag from Bkk is built up and would be unlikely to flood. Panicos sorry I missed your kind offer. We have previously met at the first Big Bash and now realise that I saw you last week at Pook bar Soi Buckow bvut we were both busy at the time. As I spent most of my time with allegedly straight guys in persuit of the vagina I shall be providing a very brief trip report

Glad to hear you stayed dry
Hope you had a good holiday
A fortnight there, even in not so great
weather, is still a great 2 weeks

Rain in Bangkok last night does that count as flooding.
