  • Cleaning AC Filters

It has been reported that many members have coughs, colds, etc, when they visit LOS.

If your hotel room has the type of AC pictured below, odds are that the filters inside have not been cleaned for a long while.

I would strongly recommend that you clean the filters yourself, if you find they are dirty when you check.

First step is to turn off the ac, then open up front panel. Pretty easy to do, just pull it forward and it should swing open. Check the filters, and remove if dirty.

Clean them in the shower and dry them before replacing. You can use one of your towels to pat them dry to speed up the process.

Presto, you should have better sleeps and less respiratory problems in your room!

Thanks Rx. I had a nasty throat infection 2 trips ago and I am sure it was due to the AC.

        Steff you dirty whore!

Maybe I sound insensitive but its not the case at all. I do care!  But if I had to live my whole life based on how everyone might be sensitive to me.. I would not be living my life as I want it. So you can accept me and my flaws as I am or you can't.

(rxpharm @ Aug. 28 2010,18:57) It has been reported that many members have coughs, colds, etc, when they visit LOS.

If your ladyboy has the type of cock pictured below, odds are that the knob inside has not been cleaned for a long while.

I would strongly recommend that you clean the knob yourself, if you find they it is dirty when you check.

First step is to pull her cock out and gently inspect the member. Pretty easy to do, just pull the foreskin back and the knob should pop out. Check her balls, and remove if dirty.

Clean them in the shower and dry them before replacing. You can use one of your towels to pat them dry to speed up the process.

Presto, you should have better sex and less respiratory problems in your room!
No, no. I inspect and clean if necessary

              Good advice there, RX...

Not a bad idea to clean them out in the hotel hallway with an old toothbrush or the free one they give you in the room.

We have five in our house and once a month or so we have a good filter cleaning session!

Now if I knew how to avoid infections caused by long plane flights??

Willie you can do the following:

Drink lots of water so you're not dehydrated.
                      Don't fatigue yourself - relax.
And if possible keep your nose clean and moist (i.e. not stuffed up with boogers and and dry).
If you feel a headache or dry throat coming on, don't be afraid to ask flight attendant for water/ tea/ coffee.

And if you can.. avoid ice cold drinks.

Also avoid eating too much. Filled stomach and turbulence doesn't mix well.

I had a similar experience to this thread's topic.....

I was in India, put up in a decent hotel in Delhi, not grand, probably 3 star territory. The aircon didn't work in my room when I came back from work, they sent up some workmen who proceeded to bang away furiously at the ducts for the central ac system for about 30 minutes, yelling all the time. I was lying on the bed jet-lagged, stressed out about the lousy meeting that preceded this & the beggars that followed me around relentlessly when I tried to take a walk to shake off my nerves. And I was sweating hot.... finally the air coughed & sputtered & then streamed out of the wall duct facing the bed, gradually cooling me off in my exhausted repose.

2 days later, after work was finished I was trying to sightsee a bit & I became frustrated touring Delhi: the omnipresent stalking beggars & my, unknown to me, deteriorating condition. So I flew to Chiang Mai since I was "in the neighborhood" & wanted to chill. (In a bizarre twist I ran into one of the participants of the Delhi meeting at the CM night market!)

In CM I noticed that I was gradually feeling tired & lightheaded, a few days later I had a constant low grade fever & felt weak & shaky all the time.... the fever got worse & I got some ampicillin & arranged to fly home asap. Chiang Mai - Delhi - Franfurt - USA ..... looong layover in Delhi, several hours in FRA ... around 34 hours travel time iirc.

Thank God my client booked me business class on a decent airline, I at least was able to lie down while I sort of slipped in & out of consciousness & ask for fluids while I felt I was on fire . It got worse with chills on the DEL-FRA-USA legs. I hope I wasn't some sort of typhoid Mary on these legs.

I missed work for 2 weeks, went back to the office, lasted only 3 hours, I was too weak & was back home for another week or so. Apparently it was some sort of respiratory infection akin to Legionnaires disease, as sick as I have been as an adult. If I knew what I had I would've stayed in CM, I made a number of mistakes & I'm pretty lucky I didn't get pneumonia or actual Legionnaires (50% fatality rate).

So this ac filter cleaning seems like a great idea, but be careful handling the filters & wash your hands, etc...

What I've done is squirt the shower hose at the filter and it cleans quite quickly.

The gunk goes down the drain. I have no idea how undesirable that is.
