Romantic getaways closest to Bangkok

If all goes well I will be meeting my future LB love in Bangkok in a few weeks. I want to take her in a romantic peaceful place where I can really get to know her. I have found a few nice places from the internet located south of Pattaya (bungalows etc) but prices are pretty high, up to 10000 a night for a real treat.

If it comes to that I can but pay... but I was hoping there exists some better deals or places in the area.

Sorry to dash cold water on your plans, but don't you think it is far better to get to know her for a while BEFORE you take her on this romantic get away?

There are plenty of things to see and do in Bangkok and surrounding area. This would be a way to see if the internet "chemistry" can stand up to a real life encounter.

If things are still ok, then you can book your "romantic" getaway in LOS - usually at a much better price than doing it from your home country.

There would be nothing worse than being stuck on an island for days with someone who doesn't come close to what the long distance fantasies generated.

i was going to take a few days time of exploring, see what it's all about.

thanks for the tip, that hotel has got some pretty good grades, seems to be of good value. in that site there seem to be other places too in that area. how can they stuff up so many hotels in that small island anyway..

I can't even afford to go there anymore and will stay at a cheapo place the next time I stay on Ko Samet but still recommend this place to most folks that want a honeymoon within striking distance of Pattaya.
