Any info on Ban Chang?

There are quite a few Ban Changs in Thailand, so to be specific, I'm referring to the one about 45 km down the coast from Pattaya between Sattahip and Rayong. The town has a soi with a lot of bars catering to foreigners and I read an old baronbonk column that said there were quite a few LBs offering their services. Can anyone confirm this? It might be worth a trip for those tired of Pattaya.

Great place to chill is the Kangeroo bar , used to overnight in the Ban Chang palace for the early chopper flight offshore...

There did not used to be any LB's around exact for a couple who looked like vietcong snipers, but hey times have changed so you never know.

That street has quite a few of the expats visiting, they live around there so it would not surprise me to see the LB,s starting to pay attention as the street is lined with some good bars

I was there about four weeks ago the main attraction being golf. At this stage of my decay a few hours of staggering around the pool table was a workout for me .I visited four or five bars plenty of nice G/G all have a bag out the back with enough gear for a few days in Patts BKK or Dublin. I did not see hide nor hair of a L/B but was not really looking. IMHO the place would be too quiet but then again there could have been thirty stunners in the bar I did not venture into

Ban Chang is a 'watering hole' for golfers.

One stret with a good few bars and more laid back than Pattaya. Not near Pattaya but about 20 Kms south.
IF you are looking for a mongers resort you will be disappointed BUT it is a fun place to visit. Not sure of the LB action down there but not much.
