BKK to Patts on July 15th

I'll have to travel from bkk to patts on July 15th.

As I am cheap, I would like to ask if someone would like to share a cab, or if I should consider another means of transportation than a taxi?

Bell Bus is best 300 baht but picks you up at BKK hotel and drops you off at Pattaya hotel Ekamai 10 baht but you have to take taxi or sky tran then in Pattaya you have to take bus to hotel and ends up costing more.

Price of Bell Bus went up slightly. Here's their website.

The Bus from Ekkami varies from 100-120 Baht, depending on the phase of the moon and other unknowables. Once in Pattaya its 20 Baht for a songkow ride down beach rode (30 baht to Jomtien).

IMHO the Bell bus is a pain, they pick you up from your hotel in a minivan, then pick up other people, take you to the bus, then in pattaya the procedure runs in reverse. What is a 90-120 minute journey on the regular bus becomes a 3-4 hour process with the Bell bus.

hmmm... I don't get what this is aiming at ... ?

@snick: yeah, I'll think it over... on the other hand, what does it change if I turn up in Patts at 3 or 4 o'clock?

                        Hi Manarak,

Personally I think the Bell bus is ok to and from the airport but I'm not sure if I'd bother from BKK considering that it involves either the Skytrain or a taxi to get to Ekkami, but then I have never tried it. Assuming that you will have luggage, I'd skip the Cheap Charlie persona and spend the 1000 or 1200 Baht and travel in comfort.

Aren't you on a 5K daily budget if I remember a previous post of yours? ;-)

Cu at the PBR then ... Have a good trip, whatever means of transportation you'll decide on.

                        Cheers
                        CM

Well I could offer to come and pick you up with my limousine...
I need an excuse to go and check out a few beauties at Cascades.
                          Perhaps Netty...

And we could have those drinks we didn't get last time in Phuket because of the rain.

Well, on second thought and after checking their website, perhaps the 350 Baht option with Bell is not so bad at all, in particular as it includes pick up and drop off. The savings could pay for your first lb :-)

I'm a Cheap Charlie too at times

                              Wow, that's an offer! Thanks!

But I think you are confusing me with someone else... We never spoke about sinking beers in Phuket!
