  • Getting to Hua Hin from Pattaya?

Anyone have recommendations on the best way to get to Hua Hin from Pattaya...bus, train, or boat? Thanks, Eazy Sleazy
Here I sit broken hearted, tried to shit but only farted. I am not worthy until I have at least 1,000 posts to my name on the LB Forum.

Could also hire a private driver depending on how long you will stay and how much cash you have

      3 options

      1. Private car is about 3000, maybe less. Ask around.

      2. Bus to Southern terminal, then transfer to bus to Hua Hin. Prob about 250-300 baht total.

      3. Mini van from Tops on Pattaya central road to Victory Monument, then change to a mini van to HH. Prob about 400 baht total.

I think there is a direct Pattaya->HH van from the guys in front of Tops.

If so, it's new or they didn't tell me about it last time I was there. This would be VERY convenient.

If the OP is in Pattaya, perhaps he can check on this and post the details (time, cost, etc.)

I used to do this quite often. But from Sri Racha. Took the bus to Ekamai then Skytrain to Victory Monument then mini-van to Hua Hin. Bus from Sri Racha(also opposite a Tops market)was 89 baht, Skytrain maybe 40 baht and mini-van to Hua Hin is now 200 baht.

Hired a car last Sunday (14th June) from Pattaya bay resort to Hua Hin for 2800 baht.

                3 hours 45 minutes.

Thats pretty hard to beat. There is the train option, but you will waste a day changing trains in BKK.

There is/was a minibus running from Tops on second road which goes direct to hua hin cause I used it in May but it was only going once a day so check the time beforehand.

                          You got 2 options Petesie.

1 Take the minivan from Hua Hin. Its on the main road out of town Bkk direction, there is a small Tesco beside, I think it is an ESSO garage. The bus depot is on the opposite side of the main road about 30 metres in off the main road. It leaves you at Victory Momnument, and just ask the guys there for the Pattaya minivan, its in the same area.

2 Take the government but to Southern Bus station, then change and take one from there to Pattaya.

If I had the time I'd love to see LoS by bus or train...............but given it's another mad 10 day dash I want to be where I'm going pretty fast..........

I've found a taxi for 2,500 THB which I consider not too bad.............

Is there anyone interested in sharing a taxi ride from Pattaya to Hua Hin this Sunday (Dec 6) or Monday (Dec 7)?
