(robbo @ Apr. 14 2009,04:20) its all part of my guess that actually this world crisis and individual economy crisis has in no way hit the bottom yet.
sounding very negative i know, but i think things are about to get a whole lot worse over the next 12 months.weve had the causes slowly weeping out of hiding, now the effects are going to start in earnest in the next few months, job losses insolvencies, just more of the same except a greater cumulative effect.and this time deep rooted..
in the meantime im off to have a wank.
    I agree with that.

Many layoffs are still coming, and governments have already exhausted all traditional keynesian stimuli, i.e. interest rates are near zero everywhere.

Governments hide the truth, I suspect the media have been asked to hold back on some things, and some stats are being doctored.

I do think it is going to get worse in the next 12 months, and that we still have a minimum of 24 months of crisis in front of us.

Good point except commercial interest rates are still at 7% in Thailand - first rule of living in Thailand - never assume common sense will prevail

Yeah, I remember the days of 42/$ in '04/05...then dropped all the way to below 30/$ (I think in 06) so back to 35/$ seems ok to me now....

Keep an eye out. I don't think it's moved much because the Thai markets are closed until Thursday. We should see more movement soon.

Well, I don't think the Baht moved, rather the pound. Exchange rate towards the Euro and USD has been more or less stable if not worse even. Less than 46 Baht to the Euro today which is not that good really.

So, so far I don't see it happening that the Baht will come down.
