as I could not find anything with the search function I want to ask you friends if anyone has particular experience with the night life in Hat Yai.
I red on some website that there should be a Tiffany-
ladyboy show, but thats also reported from Chaing Mai where it is closed since more than one year.
Question No 2: Has anybody travelled from Hat Yai to Phuket ?
Thanks for all replies
Ernesto
I used to go to Hadyai where there are a lot of ladyboys. You can see them at a discoteca. Many ladyboys like to hang up with foreigners. Maybe you are a good luck guy. Or you can find beautiful ladyboys on the street of Nipat-Uthit Rd. everynight. They are freelancers. Cheers!!!...
Years ago I went to Hat Yai on my way to Malaysia. I stayed there a few days and of course things have change by now.
I'd be willing to bet that it's still pretty barren for LBs and finding them would require either inside knowledge or patience and of course preferably both!
My own endeavors meant getting pally with the locals and them making a lot of phone calls for me to line up potential partners.
Hat Yai is a very depressing and miserable town. Muslims are not known for their relaxed attitude as most normal Thais are.
I rode my Motorbike through Hat Yai and on to Phuket and it's all pretty good road. If you plan to do this (and you don't indicate how you plan on travelling) stop a night or two in Krabi. There is some good bars on the beach there and a few LB's around too.
There are LB's in HY too. Don't worry, they will find you. Find the nearest disco and they won't be far from the front door. Hat yai is becoming a bit of an Oil town, so there is a bit of Falang money there now I am told. and where there's bucks there's fucks.
PS. never had anything but typical Thai graciousess from all the locals down South. Got lost plenty and generally ended up with 4 generations crowded around my bike giving me directions and arguing about the best way. Leading to getting lost all over again.
I can't help it: attached is a photo of my one true love... now sold, sob sob!
I'm planning on driving down in mid-Nov to do a visa run across the border. It's been recommended to me that I stay in Songkhla as opposed to Hat Yai as its far nicer. Will report back once the trip is done. Songkhla is the drop off point for the rig workers so I'm sure there will be some willing ladies of some description around. If I remember correctly Noone from Tequila Bar is from round there maybe I should 'pump' her for information!!
I couldn't give a shit how long it is until you're next holiday- I live here
My great thanks to all of you for your tips&infos.
Unfortunately I will not be able to follow the advice to stop at Krabi as I am booked in at C&N Hotel Phuket from Jan 11th on , so I should try to make it on 11th in one day from HY to Phuket.Any suggestion how to do that ?
Thanks
Ernesto
Thanks to all of you.
FOxxee !
After my last camber on a motorbike on Raratonga (cook islands) I swore never to jump on a bike again. My late wife had always told me to stay in a car even if it would be a Ferrari but never on a 2 wheel vehicle and she was right ! But I have to admit your bike looks damned hot ! But the Krabi alternative ´ll keep in mind as this should (inshallah) not be my last trip to Thailand .
