Travel Agencies in Bangkok...

I am arriving on October 16 for my firsst trip to LOS, I am sraying at the Majestic Suites for the first 3 nights. Could anyone recommend a travel agency in the vicinity of the hotel? I need to book a couple of flights during my stay.

If you get that many landslides where you live I'd seriously consider moving!        


To answer your question there are two or three at the bottom of Sukumwit Soi 7  -  about 5 minutes walk from the hotel.
The one my girlfriend used to use is the one right beside the Bangkok Bank exchange booth which stands on the sidewalk.

The other two are located further back inside the arcade.

There are some up Soi 3 also but I've never tried any of them.

There is one called "Stang travel" on soi nana (i.e. soi 4) roughly at the same level as guess bar, on the opposite side of the street (soi 4).

I booked through them, everything went smoothly, even if the hotels they booked were not the best ones...

For hotel bookings, I would advise looking at reviews on tripadvisor (just ignore the fakes - easy to recognize) and booking through a discount site Agoda.com - often you get 50 to 60% discount, especially now as there are few tourists!

My suggestion, head over to Khao San Road and you kill two birds with one stone. On that stretch of road you will find about 100 travel shops, one of the best and most highly recommended is Charlie Travel Agency. Since I believe that Khao San Road is one of the must see places in all of Thailand you will have taken care of two things at the same time.

Business Air Center is one I use - very reliable, excellent service. 5 locations a couple quite near Nana.

I've had good luck with the place across from Molly Malone's (Soi Convent). Oft I've found better fares there than online.

I have used Sawadee Travel Agency for many years including their booking site www.sawadee.com and was never disappointed.

The travel agency is located below the Nana Skytrain Station just before Soi 8.

Personally i think if you use an agent in a real shop rather than a place that also offers travel services you will be ok! Be a bit careful down koh san road as there is rumoured to be a lot of fly by night agencys! I have booked from koh san years back and never had a problem, but i was not looking for the cheapest and went on advice!
Used an agency for a flight last week on sukhumvit road opposite side to the landmark and up a bit( helpful i know) but can't remember the name. Very efficent,helpful and honest!
Book an air ticket from this place no problem.
Another place i have used a lot in the past is lemoned travel, don't quote the spelling.
This agent is on silom road next to the hindu temple.
