Which Thai city do YOU like best?

I'm sure these type of polls have been done before, but we will do an updated, september of 2008 version now if that's OK with the Mods, and see what is the up-to-date preference of the punters these days.

Everyone vote, please! Even the lurkers, check one of the above......one choice only, which made it hard for me as I love both BKK and Phuket, but if I had only say 2 weeks in-country I'd pick Phuket because of the beaches.

I picked Pattaya over Phuket, because the rooms are more expensive in Phuket for equal quality, the public transportation is more expensive, and Pattaya is just closer for when I have more money than I have time. There are still good beaches fairly close to Pattaya, so one is not stuck with just Pattaya beach.
Now, for living there full time, then maybe I'd choose Phuket.

I rather like Chiang Mai. Not becuase of the ladyboy scene if the vote was just about that I would probably change my vote.

I voted Chiang Mai.

The ladyboy action is somewhat limited, but I just love the city and overall vibe of the place.
