Tourists are dying to come to Thailand!

Thailand was singled out as the country with proportionally the highest death rate and hospital cases among Britons.

The Foreign Office said the country had one of the world's highest road traffic accident rates and that most of the hospital admissions were the result of motorbike accidents, particularly in the southern islands.

Interesting foriegn office surveys on tourism and travel here...

This makes for some pretty grim reading but if you thought Thailand had it bad then spare a thought for the poor authorities in Spain!

Different types of Brits go to different countries.

Old farang guys living in Thailand account for the high number of hospital visits and deaths and the low number of rapes.

I thought the saying was see Florence and then die.......  looks more like see Spain and die!      

Like they say most of the hospital admissions in Thailand are idiots on motorbikes.
I figure most of the deaths are the same cause or old age/accompanying medical complications.

noticed the amount of rosbifs as well!, saying that i live in a ferryport and know a lot of people ,like myself who do maybe 2-3 trips a year for weekend breaks(cheap as chips) to stock up on the wine!

Would the deaths in Spain be because of the large amount of Brits living there now as opposed to visiting.

It's because that's where a lot of old people go to retire, also some UK care homes relocate to Spain in the winter as it's cheaper than heating the place back here, as well as the old loves liking it better (the damp doesn't get into their joints).
