  • Golf in BKK

Hey guys I am a golf nut and have played several clubs in BKK: 1.) Panna clubs; 2.) windmill; 3.) Pinehurst (sucked) etc. I want to play some great courses this time. First if any of you want to play with me from 9/14--9/21 let me know. Second, which clubs do you recommend for me a single? Third which clubs rent Callaway clubs or Taylor Made in good shape? I also find it strange when I come out alone the Thai starters never hook me up with another twosome or threesome but make me play alone behind foursomes or even fithsomes? Please advise. thanks

Get out of Bangkok for a few days and go play the hugh number of courses in the Pattaya area. Some amazing courses, lower prices and a hell of a lot more Farangs to hook up with. Do a google search for the golf courses, check them out online and decide for yourself. I suspect the reason the starter has you play as a single is he does not want you join a group of Thai golfers.

thanks but I hate Pattaya at night. I love playing golf in BKK all day then hanging out at Nana at night and I like the big fancy five star hotels in Sukhamvit. I have been to Pattaya many times and my old girlfriend (gg) owns Wipa hair and nails at the end of Walking Street. I really want to go to Hat Yai and hook up with that cute ladyboy who plays golf but the guy who told us about her lost her phone number or e mail.

*grin* I love golf too but don't qualify for the actual course yet. Stuck the the driving ranges till I get my PC.

Playing golf in thailand sounds like a cool idea anyways.

I'm in LOS mid-late October and will be taking my clubs for games in Macau with mates after. If there's decent golfing in BKK I'd be interested to know more

Don't worry, it only seems kinky the first time

                  (reflections @ Aug. 11 2008,22:51) Hey guys I am a golf nut
This has got to be the funniest thread on here for quite a while , this has to be a wind up , I mean you guys are actually planning to play golf and fly your clubs half way around the world
I have witnessed this strange sport first hand , grown men taking half days from work or rising early on a Sunday morning , dressing in strange attire to play this game in driving rain and gale force wind .
At work I have had the tits bored off me as people talk in hushed tones at how tough the nineth is at Saint Ballsack or wherever ,or how wee Davie slipped up and chose the wrong club and his balls ended up in the river .
Until now I never belived people actually enjoyed this game , I thought it was only played to impress your boss or gain promotion at work , or to join some secret handshaking club , but it is clear from reading this you guys actually seem to enjoy this , this really is too much , I'm gonna have to lie down
Free your mind and your ass will follow .

Easy Tiger Woods , no need to get your plus 4s in a twist , only a bit of fun .

A little birdie told me you guys take your golf seriously so I guess your reply is par for the course .

I actually tried a four ball with a ladyboy once ,  I managed nine holes, but then I had to retire as I shot off course and lost my balls in her bush .
No bad thing perhaps as I was also having problems with my wood after 9 holes .
I shall be attempting the full 18 holes next weekend though , as I have been practicing my stroke quite a bit recently .

Well must dash , I have to go for my tee

                        Toodle pip

lovely use of the double entende there master James...

even with a handicap like ciobha, you shot an eagle on that post. A good recovery from a nasty lie
Despite the high cost of living, it continues to be popular.

                            Hi Reflections,

The Bangkok golfing experience is a double bogey compared to Pattaya or even Hua Hin. I often like to mix some golf with pleasure and will head up to Patts for a few days to play Lam Shabang and some other great courses. Most are only a three wood from town.

The great thing about Pattaya is that you can join the Pattaya Sports Club (PSC). Every day golfers depart together from various pubs at fixed times, so you just turn up on the morning and hook up with the other golfers who are always delighted to welcome someone new.

Transportation is arranged from the bar and there is usually a fun competition.

If you are a low handicapper and take it very seriously, you may want to make your own arrangements.

Checkout http://www.pattayasports.org/golf/index.htm for more info about golf in Pattaya.

                            Have fun
