Any of you phone buffs out there... Have you seen the new Samsung Omnia SGH-i900 in Thailand and how much for..??

Sorry, you can't do that. You could use Skype to call home and the number doesn't show up, or may look like a local number.

Well... if you call through a 008 or 007 number from Thailand you won't have the number show up...

(It's scrambled for VOIP calls.)

All my calls outside of Thailand go via 008 (then country code and number...)

(A LOT cheaper, too!)

In Thailand dial 008 then the country code then the number...

Your call will go on a discounted line that uses the internet for voice calls.

Yes from your cellphone dial 008, if it doesn't work
( it happens to me many times)
try with 007 or 001 + country code and number

spoke with someone who said thailand has international phone cards....just like many other countries.

in my experience, whether it be 008,009,007 ,001 i've never had a cheap international call from Thailand.

On another note.... just curious it appears the thai sim cards are not expiring 1 month after the credit runs out.

Can someone please confirm if they have made changes with respect to how long the sim will stay active.

If you are using 12call provider the expiring date of the sim card could vary depending on how much money you have put in it recently.
Just put 1000b and the sim card could last for 2 months up, seems that more money buys more time.

just digit *121# and you will receive a sms to let you know how much you have left and the expiring date.

it works even from Europe.

I used the 008, 007 and 001 they all sow the numbers when I call aborad from a Thai cel. phone. O could have been in BIIIIG trouble.
