Well all this talk of flights being reduced from many airlines and fuel surcharges thru the roof, you may want another choice in travel.I just flew ANA from NYC to BKK and it seemed rather fast as others say, stopping off in NRT for a bite. drink and internet use makes it go fast.
Yes they are Star Alliance which is best of all programs imo.
They do have newer aircraft and much better service from the flight staff.
Food is good and they feed you enough. I still like Cathays food best.
For video, it is on demand which is by far the best thing out there.
I got bumped from Cathay last trip and Thai took 10 folks that were bumped only to return 8 of them. At that point I was walking around to find somebody that could get me there since Cathay was booked for next 5 days and Thai was not relaible. ANA guy said I can get you on with just a few seats left (2).
Not Only did they get me out just a few hours later than Cathay but they put me in Prem Econ seats which are really a great deal.
