  • Gyms in BKK and Pattaya

    Did a search from the beginning and couldnt find any information on this subject.  It might have been buried in the individual hotel section.

    Looking to find a gym that has aircon, modern equipment and working treadmills in Pattaya and BKK.    Any info is greatly appreciated.

    Pattaya Bay Resort (Pattaya) has a fully furnished Gym (with big screen TV!)

    There is a disco masqurading as a Gym (California Fitness - how I hate those noisy c*nts) in The Avenue on Second Road.

      Tony's Gym on Second Rd is by a long way, the best in Pattaya.
      Also free towels, water and plenty of staff with assistance or advice

                The only gym I have used in Pattaya is at the Marriott. Quite a good gym - and you can buy day passes and short term memberships.

                Quite a few good options in BKK. Again, the JW Marriott close to Nana Plaza has a great gym. Free of course if you stay there. I would avoid California fitness. They are big and have great equipment, but they are PACKED; and play thunderously loud dance music.

                I would recommend True Fitness. It's a fairly new gym located on Sukhumvit - close to Asoke station. Great equipment without the crowds and loud music. They will also do short term memberships.

                        Well many of you dont go to a gym at your home but I want to stay on my routine as best as possible. Its the only way I can drink the beer and eat the food I like without being obese. Besides the fact, that there really isnt much to do during the day, especially in BKK. I also find out that working out makes my sessions with the girls much better and longer. Cialis helps but workouts do also.

                          Hey Brock, Here's some info re Tony's.

                          And an upscale apartment. Believe the cheap one's at Tony's are about 15K/mo.

                            Brocklanders;

                            Bangkok:

                            JW Marriott on Sukhumvit Soi 2 as mentioned above is nice but may not have a lot of variety if you are used to work out a lot. The steam and Sauna is great.

                            California Fitness is - IMO - simple and too the point with lot's of different machines and weights, especially if you know your routine. You can get in and out of there within 1 hour.

                            Just pick "odd" hours, like 11 am or 2 pm during the day and it isn't crowded, avoid after work and mornings.

                            The also have steam and Sauna. And "yes", you'll find guys in there, both in JW and California Fitness, if that's your cup of tea......
