Scottish nationality, but working in the Persian Gulf - similar situation to mine.
I fly economy as well - in the Airbus 330 and 340 series you are no more than 1 seat away from the aisle, so the middle seat syndrome is not quite as bad as other seat configurations, like you see with the 747, 777, and 767.
If you are short around 163 cm, then your leg room is usually ok. Equip yourself with ear plugs, sleep mask and neck pillow makes for a reasonably good flight.
Business Class.
Those crafty devils on China Airlines gave me a free upgrade from Economy to Biz (Dynasty Class) ten years ago on the outward journey. After retuning home back in economy decided that from that moment on, I shall always turn left when entering the aircraft and pay twice as much for my airfare
On the way out, I always have a real good try at getting my moneys worth with the great Champagne and brandy, as a consequence I am usually drunk on arrival
I fly from the east coast of USA, 24 hour flight at least
so use EVA business class, when flush, other times will get their elite ticket and use the miles for the business class upgrade, still very much like the agony in the garden , I've never been a good traveller.
(pentire @ Apr. 08 2008,00:52) Business Class.

Quite correct mate... but Arabian Gulf if you please. Don't want to upset my locals *ahem*
Slightly off-topic, but where in the sandpit are you?
