  • Overseas Visa for ladyboys?

Chatting to a filipino lady boy friend of mine last night. She is over in the UK on a fiance visa & is due to get married later this year. After getting My Knuckles rapped by Stogie yesterday, I thought this could be a good topic.I have know idea how it works,OK I could go onto British visa control & find out if I needed to know, but I thought it would be interesting to find out if any BM's have tried getting a lady boy back to their country, cost & degree of hassel from one country to the next.I know of one BM trying to get a visa for Ireland for a lady boy out of Singapore.

    Cheers guys

As far As Australia goes. THere is no reason why you coudn't as long as you can prove the relationship is ongoing and genuine. Your gender type is irelevant.

Back in 2004 i got a 3 month Visa for my first LB girlfriend back to Australia , but i have a feeling Australia might be one of the easist places to get Visa's for

In short point form he was my formula that succeded ,

1 ) Establish at least a 6 month relationship , with proof , foto's , emails , phone records , any reciepts for presents or money you may have sent to her .

2 ) Be present in Thailand at the Embassy when you want to get her a Visa , go to Embassy and make your presence felt , add your thoughts to any questions she may be asked .

3 ) Make sure you have all the particular's on hand , both yours and hers , Birth Certificates , any Education certificates , Any ID cards , of course Passports , and some sort of valuation report about your financial position , including last few tax returns , a letter from your employer which includes your wages/salary specifics .

4 ) Never mention her past or present activites that include prostitution if she has that sort of past , you need to come up with a past working history , cabaret is ok , beauty shop , resturant this is really something she will need to sort out , a letter from that boss , stating current employment and that she will have a job when she gets back and some foto's of her in that environment .

5 ) Ask if you can fill out a Statutory Declaration , and include lots of mention of love and a relationship and expanding that relationship , also mention you will provide her with accomodation and mention where , and all her financial needs during her stay , and your plan to purchase her a airline ticket as soon as the Visa is approved . Also you will guarantee she will be on holidays and returning to Thailand before her Visa expires .

Anyways worked for me back in 2004 , when i got a 3 month tourist Visa for her , to Australia .

My gf has recently obtained her 3rd UK visitor visa. She arrives at Manchester in late July for a holiday. She is a travel agent so knows how to successfully obtain a visa.

Below are a couple of useful links that should give you alot of the information you require.

Australia allows guarantees - UK does not hence the very different approach in visas. UK is tough as basically once your in the UK, they have no clue if you ever leave due to virtually zero checks upon departure from the UK. Getting a visa to the UK is tough. It helps if you live in Thailand and the person has reason to return (i.e job, property etc) all of which is considered in the opinion of the visa officer as to "how likely is this person going to return to XXX country"

              Cheers

Although my gf had twice previously been to the UK and returned to LOS and could show a passport with immigration stamps from various countries her recent application was initially refused.

Apparently as part of the tightening of the visa system the UK government requires the equivalent £1000 in a savings account for sponsored applicants and double this amount for people not sponsored.

Add to this the probability that she will be questioned by the immigration officer when she arrives at Manchester - her passport is in her male name. They will check how much money she has with her and she will have to provide details of her itinerary and travel insurance documents.

Next year the UK will re-introduce the departure checks although with an estimated 3 million illegals in the country its a case of shutting the stable door once the horse has bolted.

(terryw @ Apr. 06 2008,19:15) Next year the UK will re-introduce the departure checks ............its a case of shutting the stable door once the horse has bolted.
                    Exactly my thoughts!

I would guess that 98% of those that go to the trouble of getting a valid visa are not likely to do a runner anyway.
From what I have seen most of those that are going to remain in the UK probably have forged or no documents and try to get in via what they perceive as a weak spot.

What has always left me wondering is that Australian and UK passports both included bar code read strips from around 1985.

Going in/out of Oz in 1988 my Australian passport was scanned.
My UK passport has been scanned every time I have been in and out of LOS since 2001.
How many times has my UK passport been scanned in the UK  -  about 2 times.

Scanning passport provides a simple reliable check of who comes in and out of a country.
OK some criminal organisations are able to make really passable forged passports  -  but it would only take relatively simple software to pick up dodge travel movements.

Half of it is in place already  -  your latest travel arrangements for LOS can be accessed in about 45 seconds by any UK security agency or by the UK consular officer checking up on your GF's visa application.

Isn't making a Thai lady or ladyboy partner live in the UK some form of spousal abuse?

We were talking about a holiday Stogie, but I wonder how many guys have married their Thai GF, I did read somewhere once that Thai's find it harder then most other Orientals to settle out side of their home country !

Apparently the success rate of relationships with gg's living outside LOS is less than 50%.

Its much easier for a farang to adapt to Thai culture.

Managed to get my Thai lb friend a 3-month visa to UK - no problems, and she had never left LOS before.

Just make sure u give more than what they ask for - in terms of documents ..

Get letters from ur relatives that she can stay at their place if necessary, but I think the main thing is to have money available to support the stay ................. so bank statements for you and her ......... takes a bit of preparation, but its worth it .................................... I hope !!!

                            Best of luck !!

And I was there when she arrived in UK - as I work overseas, and we came on same flight. No questions at all about her gender at passport check - and not even any funny looks ................ which was great and a bit of a surprise - I expected some hassle of some kind !!
