Eva Air or Thai Air?

I was somewhat annoyed with Thai Airways about two years ago.

They suddenly halved the number of airmiles that you get on some classes of economy class tickets.

I tried e-mailing them but all I got in the end was a stock reply.

All in all I thought it was a cheap shot on their part  -  especially as they suddenly applied it even to flights that were already booked

Yea, I think it's Q class (but please triplecheck this) that gets you 100% miles.

Beware of V and W class.

V and W are generally ever so slightly cheaper and just not worth it from a FF standpoint.

unfortunately becoming more common - for all frequent flyer programs. If it is a discounted ticket less or even no mileage accumulation. Still, Star Alliance is a good group to join.

They are both crap but for £36 more i would go with Thai, i always fly Cathay right now....

I fly EVA all the time and never have had a problem to date...Always on time...sometimes even early...

I always fly Qatar now out of Manchester.

This trip , and a ticket to dubai in May, all Biz class for free with airmiles.

I'm flying out with 777 which I like but flying back with 747..

I just booked with WestEast travel Thai Airways £602. The nearest non-stop to this was about £40 more.

Bangkok Sunday 27th April for two weeks!

Thai Airways from LA to Bangkok non stop on the 777 jet was a great airline experience for me. The american based airlines are F'N garbage, lousy service, rude and nasty attendants, dont get me started...........
