    Laundry near Nana?

Wasn't sure to post this here..or in the Life in Thailand forum...but seems to apply to travel...

I've been on the road 3 weeks...no options for laundry except the outrageously expensive hotel - $10 for pants, $3/pair for underwear/socks, etc.

So I'm pulling into BKK with alot of laundry needing taken care. Probably staying at DIG or MG...

any recommendations? there must be a place on Soi 4...but i can't remember ever seeing one.

    Thanks

There's a couple places on Soi 4; not sure which is cheapest.

If you don't mind walking about 10-15 minutes with a bag of dirty laundy, there is a service located on Sukhumvit near the Bangkok Bank opposite Soi 11 (across the road). The laundry service is in the shophouse with the internet cafe, massage (upstairs) and coffee shop (in the back). They have a rate by weight, 1 kg/100 Baht. There is also a pedestrian overpass right beside the shop. If you don't have enough clothes for 1 kg then they will charge you by the piece, at a lower rate than your hotel. The price is for 1 day service and if you want rush, you can pay a bit more.

Yes , your spot on rxpharm thats about the best deal you will find around the Nana area , most others will charge between 20 and 100 baht per piece , where as 1 kg will do probably 8 or 9 pieces on average

thanks monkeyman, I discovered that laundry during my December visit - but I did not know it was the best deal around the area! I was using the laundry service at my hotel, Grand Business Inn on Soi 11 just opposite, but decided to give this a try. Good service - they fold your clothes and put them in a plastic bag after drying, and it works out to be less than the hotel service.

I always use the laundry service at the front of the salon next to charming bar, same owner. They do great and iron shirts delivered on hangars if you ask. They are just past Dynasty Inn on soi 4, the same side of the street.

I use the one on Soi 4 next to the taxi stand by Family Mart...(almost directly across from Rajah/Guess comple)...about a 2 mminute walk from DIG... Not the least expensive but very reliable and prompt....They charge by the piece but it usually only runs about 500 baht for a full bag of dirty clothes...

There is a place on Soi 8 connected to the internet place, about 50 meters on right hand side facing into the soi.
