(Naang Faa @ Mar. 02 2008,00:25) April 13-15 in Pattaya...
It's more like 10 days in Pattaya.

It would be the first time ever if they held it to three days!!!

Spot on. It's my annual Mr Grumpy season where I stock up on everything, hide away on my room and tell everyone how silly they are!

10 days? really? what ten days? I thought it was just Apr 13-15. I want to experience it, but not for 10 days. Might have to get out of town.

Some estimated Songkran dates by province...

The dates above are sort of 'official' dates but the celebrations start two days early and end a day late.

You can guarantee that Pattaya Songkran will start when Bangkok starts and the day after Pattaya stops!

Ten days of fucking senseless death, mayhem and dirty laundry!

Exactly. A couple days are interesting. Most of you would find 10 days too much.

It's a little different for a punter who only wants girls.
You can check into a place on Soi 8 and have 1000 different girls available on Soi 7-8. Whenever you get wet, just go back to your room and change.

But if you're traveling on a baht bus you'll probably get soaked before you reach your destination.

Stogies link is showing 2006 dates. You can "try" this links. Thai websites are always slow.

Bangkok Water Festival gets underway,12 April, with a sound and light show at Arun Ratchawararam Temple, from 1800 to 2100. This year, the city will focus on a traditional style Songkran Festival by supporting and inviting people to make merit at temples and return to their villages up-country to be with their families. Water splashing on streets in the business district will be discouraged.

Water splashing will be encouraged only in specific areas such as Khao Sarn Road.

Bangsaen Water Festival, 16 to 17 April, is held a week after national celebrations at Bangsaen beach in Chonburi province. A competition to determine the most artistic sand pagoda takes centre stage with more than 100 miniature pagodas sculptured from the sand.

Pattaya Water Festival follows on from Bangsaen, 17 to 20 April. The water splashing celebration first moves to Na-Klua, a village just north of Pattaya, 18 April, Pattaya beach, 19 April and finally moving, 20 April, to Sattahip, a fishing and Naval town on the eastern seaboard.
