Who needs a taxi...Bell Bus left Pattaya 9.15 and we was at the airport 10.30....75min from Patts to airport, thats was the fastest ever for me ..
And that was only 150bt..
Must of seen you coming.
You can walk to the bus station and get the non motorway one for a 119b but the only drawback is there is no toilet on the bus.
Why was the 556 from the airport to the southern bus station fucked off.
Now you have to go to Victoria monument and get on the skytrain.
Van picks you up at your hotel and brings you to the bus station where you can take a piss, buy some snacks and then onto the bus all for 150 baht.
I never bothered with the bus before because of the hassle of getting to the bus station, but with the minibus pick up that is a bargain - contact details?

Thanks for the digits 69billy....I've always taken a cab from the airport (BKK) to Pattaya...Is the bus direct (no stops?).....when you arrive in Pattaya where does it drop you? Gonna check to see if they have a website with a schedule....
so...does anyone know...
1. does the van go to more than 2 or 3 places en route to the pattaya bus station?
2. is there ANY hassle/worry with luggage, either on the van or the bus?
3. is there also a Bell bus from pattaya to bangkok, and if so, how close to nana will the pattaya bus take you -- carrying my luggage i don't want to have to hire taxi in bkk after bus, but I don't see how else to get from bkk bus station to the DIG, though a short 50baht ride might still be worth it.
4. is there already a thread on this, in which case, just yell at me and i'll shut up.
Many thanks.
p.s.
saw iinteresting tv piece last night on the *train* from bangkok to pattaya. looked and sounded pretty interesting -- all for about 40 baht -- until they mentioned the 3 1/2 hours it took, when it was on time, which apparently it is not often!

The train from the 'old' airport to BKK was about 5 baht if I remember correctly and took forever.
Pattaya station (if that's even what it is called) isn't in Pattaya and is really not worth the hassle of trying to get to/from.
Buses are the only (half) decent form of public transport in LOS, and a few baht takes you a long way. Routes are well serviced and the buses, although with tiny Asian size seats, are decent enough.
Just make sure you get an Express or VIP bus and not the local, stopping every 400m, non-AC bus.
