Simon Cabaret finishes, I think, about 2300. I cannot imagine the girls then go home and tuck up in bed alone. Wondered if anyone new if they have a particular venue that they go to? Thanks.

It's not actually called "Happy Rd" & Cocktails & Dreams is under the "Chicago Music Cafe/Seduction Disco at street level. Opposite them is "Bangla House" (owned by the Simon Entertainment Group). A pretty reasonable short time hotel. Ist floor "short time" second floor "long time". So to clear this up once and for all, there are three LB bars in Patong, two of them are IN Soi Crocodile. There are HEAPS of freelancers and a number of bars have the odd LB. For instance "Guess bar" which is in Soi Tiger. Bangla Rd itself is swarming with free lancers. All you have to do is bump into them. Half way down Bangla opp Sea Dragon you will find a groups of "femboy" types occasionally with their more grown up sisters waiting for Jap/Korean/Asian punters sitting on the footpath. They may or may not ignore you. Sometimes around Soi Paradise a few strays, & everywhere else you look. Beach Rd (Starbucks end) has some rock "hard" looking "girls", but unless you like it very rough I'd skip there completely. They don't work in Bars for a reason. Think the beach Rd in Pataya :-(

Cocktails And Dreams is lacated on "Happy Road" beneath the Seduction Disco. The Chicago Cafe is located between the Cocktails And Dreams building and Bang-la Road, facing Bangla. If you walk down Bang-la Road from Rat-U-Thit Road toward the beach after about 8:30 pm, you can't miss the Katoys-R-Us cabaret performers and ladyboys from Cocktails And Dreams near the front of Chicago Cafe. Actually, the owner of Chicago Cafe and The Living Room, on the other corner of the entry of Happy Road occasionly has a fit over the ladyboys being there. but they have a city permit to advertise in the area of the club.

I quite fancy hiring a Jeep for a week to visit the other beaches and surrounding areas in Phuket (I'm staying on Patong Beach)

Has anyone done this or would it be better to hire a bike?
Any feedback would be appreciated

dave, Phuket has one of the highest accident rates with motorcycles, so you are better off hiring the jeep. However, some advice use your digital camera to take photos of the jeep before you drive it off and make sure the rental office sees them, so they don't charge with existing damage when you are finished renting the vehicle. Also get an international drivers license from the UK before you fly to LOS (you will require this plus your UK driver's license).

This is also advisable for any motorbike rental as well.
