  • Phi Phi Island

This time I go with my wife and parents.
Hopefully I can go away and have som fun.

I have been there many times before, but I have always had some GG/B with me.

    Where can I find them?
Do not marry a Thai girl.

I haven't been to Phi Phi in 15 years, so I know it has change a lot.
Last time I stayed at Long Beach, and was very happy with that place. The corals outside the beach was great for snorkelling.
Do you know of any place there that can be contacted on internet? Before we could just walk around and get a bungalow that was vacant, how is it now, do you need to prebook? I am planning to stay there a few days end of March next year.

            Thanks for info.

I have been to Phi Phi Island at least ten times (as a matter of fact my LB girlfriend and I were there when the tsunami hit...but that's another story!) Anyways, I was there last March and the one thing I can say about Phi Phi is that prices have more than doubled since the tsunami hit. It seems that the locals are trying to make it more upscale. More of the bungalows now have swimming pools and nice courtyards. I have always been able with the help of "hotel bookers" to get a room while sailing the ferry over from Phuket. These "bookers" have a book that shows all the available rooms on the island with the prices. You choose the accomadation and agree on the price and they call ahead and have a hotel person meet you at the pier. I definitely suggest you go that route instead of trying to score a room when you get on the island. If you are planning on staying at one of the resorts not located in the town, I would then suggest that you use the internet and book directly with the resort. I will say that Phi Phi Island is always a fun time. There is a good mix of activities to keep you busy during the day...or just relax along the beach. At night the place is alive with bars to party hard at or you can chillout and watch a fireshow. Always a great time! But remember if you plan on going to Phi Phi... BRING YOUR OWN LBs!!! Rarely have I seen them on the island. Ocassionaly, there is a lb cabaret show held at the Apache Bar. But they are usually hard to find.

I have to imagine there is no short time hotel, right? So where exactly would you go with the LB? In the bushes? It seems to me you are looking for personal ruin if the wife and parents are there; like someone making a snarky comment who might have seen you and the wife grasping what happened? As someone once told me in this kind of situation, 'keep your balls in your pants for once, why don't you'.

No wife and no girlfriend, I'll bring my own ladyboy with me.

Loveyoulongtime, you say the prices has doubble since the tsunami, what are the prices now for a small, one room bungalow. No fancy swimingpool or stuff, I don't see why you need that on Phi Phi.

I was there March 2007 and paid 2300 or baht for a simple bungalow with no view and no heated water. It had aircon and tv. Before the tsunami I paid 800 - 1000 baht for the same style room. So prices have gone up!
