Of course - instead of complicating things and setting minimum drink bills and adding bar fines you could really simplify your life (and everyone elses) by simply raising the bar fine to 1,000 baht and chuck in a couple of beers for free!

Or am I missing some subtle marketing tricks involving how people spend their money?  

On the racist issue... One of my best friends who I met through the forum is Indian... but it's just possible that he would agree that some of them are a real nightmare to be around in ladyboy bars... just like some of the horrible white trash that seem to infest Pattaya during the silly season.

I think some of the posted comments were a bit harsh though. But they are what they are and so far nobody has complained about them... which leaves another issue open...

Should 'offensive' posts have to be complained about before they are edited or removed? Or should moderators take a guess at what is acceptable and what isn't.

I'm uncomfortable with directly racist comments... but that's not a good enough reason for me to delete them. I also don't like posts about big cocks and hairy bollocks... but, hey... there's a lot of members here and there's no 'one size fits all.'

If someone wants to start a thread on how we moderate certain types of comments I'd follow it with interest.

On the delete/edit question, I think the better option would be to let the OP answer for himself.

One thing that makes this place is how BMs can feel free to have their say, and then be held accountable, or not...everything is out in the open for all to see and comment upon  

As for Indians, it's hard to generalise right ? I have seen the 'pests' in NEP and the bars, but they are more of the 'desperate and dateless' type. There are many Indian students around my town and I have found them to be invariably polite, respectful and friendly. Although i have seen the odd trouble maker... But statistically that's insignificant.

You will understand that from the chilly environs of London Town (average cost for a Ladyboy £150 or BHT7808) a BHT1000 barfine with beer included sounds pretty attractive.

My own view is that I'd rather pay up and enjoy convivial surroundings than save a couple of quid - but thats just my point of view and is based on my own circumstances.

The question of sanitizing the forum...

If long standing members make provocative posts they are likely to be left alone. If a new member had said what donnnnnny had posted it would almost certainly had been deleted.

If a post completely changes the course of a thread then the thread may be cleaned up.

It's my belief that most (if not all) people are prejudiced in some way or another and to a certain degree. If you are gutsy enough to share it with the world then good for you.

A couple of comments on a thread on a forum this size doesn't mean a whole lot... and like I say - NOBODY has actually complained.

We're very fortunate - we have a largely sensible and above average intelligent community. Things rarely get out of hand.
