Phi Phi Island. I don't know that I would recommend it as an LB destination, not exactly the most fertile grounds for hunting, and maybe not even as a getaway with the GF. But that is, as they say, up to you.
Many of the LBs I talked to don't like the place. They all seemed to have a higher ratio of conflicts with antagonistic or immature farang. And apparently the island's police don't take too kindly to them (more than the norm, that is), and don't want them there, inordinately harassing them. I know one that refuses to go there anymore, even for work.
That said, if you find yourself strolling around Phi Phi thinking you could use a good LB rub down -- look no further than "Phi Phi Garden Massage." On the main path through the town between the two beaches, it's tucked just behind the yellow Ayudhya Bank (or however the hell you spell it) -- which shouldn't be hard to find, as it's not just an ATM box, but a walk-in bank.
Representing three generations of ladyboys, Phi Phi Garden Massage has Joy, the proprietor, Nam, hitting the latter stages of her prime, and a positively adorable little femboy-masseuse-in-training who's name I didn't get. Joy, as the name would suggest, is a real pleasure to be around. She's an old friend of the girl I was with, and immediately took me to her medically-enhanced bosom. She was so sweet she even lent me her own copy of that recent biography "Ladyboys" by Susan Aldous and Pornchai Sereemongkonpol (Maverick House), that was discussed briefly over on the Academia page.
So, there I was, getting a foot massage and reading a book about ladyboys, watching my ladyboy getting a foot massage by another ladyboy, while watching the mamasan ladyboy give massage demonstrations on the femboy-masseuse-in-training and then having the trainee practice her new moves on the trainer (and watching her movements as I did, I can't imagine a little physical therapy from her would be anything short of heavenly). Not a bad way to wile away the morning whilst waiting for the ferry.
And as far as "happy endings," dunno, it did seem pretty above board. But hey, you never know until you try, and that's always part of the fun. . .
Below, please find the ladyboy bookends -- That's Nam on the left and the femboy-masseuse-in-training-who"s-name-I-didn't-get (Joy was busy inside).
Second shot, that's the main path in the foreground, and on the far left, that's the backside of the bank.
PM me if you want more info.
Cheers, and enjoy.
