Plastic Surgery in Phuket

I know there are lots of threads on plastic surgery for the girls but I am considering something for myself and have discovered it's bloody expensive in Australia.

There are better reasons than just vanity in play here and my question is serious. I have thought of taking a two week break in Bangkok to get it done but assume I need to make two visits - one for a consultation and another for the op and recuperation.

Whilst considering this I have been looking at Boarhog's and Pentire's threads on Patong and remembering very fondly my week there last year, I wonder if I could sneak a few days there and do the consult whilst there.

Are there any hospitals that do decent plastic surgery in Phuket or do I need to get my arse to Bangkok.

I haven't posted for a while because I'm in South Africa still and there is just so much gg action here it's kept my attention more than Sydney does.

newwriter, there is no doubt that Bangkok has more plastic surgeons than other Thai cities, and as a result more of the good ones are there too.

Dr. Kunaporn is specialized in SRS, so I don't think you will be interested in that - there is information about other procedures they do.

Obviously we have no idea what type of procedure you are thinking of newwriter however, the four weeks I spent in Patong towards the end of 2008 I spoke to quite a few ladyboys and cosmetic surgery is always a favourite topic of theirs.

None of them mentioned a clinic on Phuket and all of them head for Bangkok or occasionally Chonburi (near Pattaya)

I would think BKK would be your best option for surgery.

Bangkok !! And don't try and save a few bucks by shopping around.
There are some great doctors in Bangkok, and a lot of quacks too.

Go to one of the top hospitals to have it done, make sure you have insurance that would cover any complication. Stay a day or two in Bangkok, then go to Phuket.
If you need a hospital in Phuket, go to "Bangkok Hospital" in Phuket Town.

I chatted to some of the phuket ladies about plastic surgury - they all mentioned they go to bangkok - as mentioned good doctors and the price is better in Bangkok. (cater for tourist trade too much in phuket)

As above Bangkok is the best place and less expensive as well.
