  • Phuket update!

JUST back from 2 weeks in phuket, first time here since 1993.
flew bangkok air excellent airline modern plains and fab service.6000 bhat return ticket.500 will get you a taxi from airport to patongpatong villa charge 770 bhat
stayed patong villa just of the beach and 1900 bhat a night.booked of internet after some feed back on forum. got to say the place is a dump. i booked a cottage by the pool and got a room with two beds made into one, in a very plain clean room. the pool was ok but had very few lounges or tables to sit at. hired motorbike and went looking. BIke was a yamaha fully auto and cost 180 per day.great way to get around but dont get pissed and drive. also keep your drivers licence on you all times as the cops stopped me 4 times in two weeks, and asked for it (licence).)after 3 nights at patong villa i booked into the baan veerakit on nanie road 5 mins from the beach. excellent rooms, brand new , pool, at back and 800 bhat a night if you book for a week. 1200 for one night, photos to come on this great little hotel.
beaches. did'nt bother with patong as my ladyfriend said we go to lam sing beach which is about 10k from patong. wonderfull beach small and un-crowded, have to walk through a jungle track to get down to the beach, spectacular beach with jungle back drop and nice little restaurant.honest people(mint left her vidio cam and purse in the toilet and they brought it back to her)
stayed on beach most days drinking eating and sunning, and never cost me more than 900 bhat.
the other beach i went to is paradise beach at far end of patong follow th road about 6 klms, and you will come to a tiny beach at the bottom of a steeeeeep hill wonderfull and uncrowded again. but you need a bike to get there or a brave taxi driver.
the ladyboy sceen is basically a tourist trap with a throng of girls turning up each night to have there photos taken with tourists. very few seem to get bar fined.as making heaps from tourists is the go.(did see a few i would have taken)
cocktails and dreams is a laugh, met the great fun whitny, what a laught this girl is ,as she struts round the bar banging open cold towelets (pa yens) on her boobs and dry rooting every guy who walks in.she likes an arm wresse l to, and little ( tim ) the irish guy(luci mustangs boyfriend) , beat her in both arms, much to the amazment of the bar and whitny
plenty of talent around mainly at patong in soi bangla and the beach road
    photos to come.
simon cabareh is 600 a ticket and just a good laugh. great costumes but very few stunning girls in the show. get your photo taken outside but watch out for rude chinese and japs who walk right in front as you try to snap away. again the show and photos are for the tourists As they expect 100 bhat for photos, was alot of fun and if you wish to meet the show girls it would be easy as they are very keen to swap phone numbers.
    thats all folks
hope this is of use to you
    donnnnny
just a sex tourist looking for hot fun

thanks for the update as I was there in May for 4 nights....with a friend so didn't even check the LB scene. I sat thru a time share pitch while in Pattaya in May so I have a free weeks stay in Phuket at some resort/condo that I may use in 2008.
      ....so,  you're really a guy?..............

Phuket Is is a great place to go. Plenty to do, plenty of ladies, and you will recall a favourite stamping ground of the late Rob69. Pattaya it is not.

Thanks for the report Donny. I assume it is this place here. http://www.veerakit.com/ .

This is the type I would like to get in Phuket for next year. I assume the bungalows are better than the apartments?

Also is it a real out of the way place? Any cons? And of course is it guest friendly?

Just one more question. This motorbike license you mentioned which the coppers pulled you up on? What kind of license do you need? I just have a Vic driver€™s license for car only. I don€™t intend to get a motorbike license. Would the home license suffice? Or should I get an international license? I just want one of those little scooters. Nothing big.

          Thanks.

That sounds like a challenge!   It's not Hua Hin, that's for certain ....   Maybe a TTChang & StogieBear scouting trip in the New Year?

And it's amazing who gets to make a cabaret 'guest appearance' from Obsessions at Cocktails & Dreams

yes mate very place baan veerakit
i didnt bother looking at the bungalows there up the hill a bit at the back of the joint. yes guest friendly, and the motor bikle i used my aussie licence. had no probs but keep ito you. most thai cops cant read english and would'nt have a clue on what the thing said. they are basically stopping you to get 200-3000 bhat bribe to let you off, if you dont have a licence on you
