Anyone done the Phuket-Pattaya flight with Bangkok Airways?

    Best return price you got?

Contact number of a semi-reliable travel agent in Phuket that I can buy the ticket from? Preferably located in Patong Beach?

I did it on Bangkok Air a few years ago. As I remember it was around 4K baht back then.

Don't know any travel agents in Phuklet but in Pattaya Mim of NS Travel is extremely efficient and reliable.

I have used the service five times now in three years and have noticed that the price has increased each time.
Not sure if Bangkok Airways is one of those carriers who give you a cheaper fare if you book early however, in the past I have usually booked about a fortnight or so before.
I have always used their website to book and pay for my flights. A travel agent would do the same and then perhaps charge you a small commission for the trouble.

      Bangkok Airways

I think the last time it cost me around 7k Baht return.

Thaibound just flew to Pattaya airport from Samui and said it was a disaster
Its an hour from Pattaya, and he ended up paying more for a taxi from there to Pattaya, then if he took a taxi from suvathaphum

        check on connection details first

For connections from Pattaya to U-Tapao.
Go to any travel agent who for 300 Baht shall arrange for the ''Phuket flight'' shuttle bus/taxi to pick you up at your hotel.
Then upon returning just go to the shuttle bus desk in arrivals who shall do the same in reverse.
Journey time is around 30-45 minutes.

            Did the trip last year~~

flight was around 3000baht mark, but as already stated bangkok air has a good ability to put price up a lot

Once at U-Tapao airport.... they have shuttle buses at the airport on arrival, i think i paid around 250baht to be dropped at my hotel in pattaya
            ~~ service was fine

Getting back, i took taxi (same price as going to bangkok airport almost)

It seemed getting a van to U-tapao airport from Pattaya was all too hard....

Now that i've done the flight, i can say i wouldn't bother again....

When you can pick up a flight on air-asia to bangkok for as low as 600 baht, then jump in a taxi for around 1300 baht to pattaya.... total cost of 1900 baht

Can end up saving around 1400 baht, and i think it'll only takes an extra 40 mins anyways....

And I am sure we can always put that 1400 baht to better uses

Just had a quick look at bangkokair.com website

they seem to have some cheap fares just now

saw 2500 baht+ taxes... just over 3000 baht all up one way

air asia has around 1400baht to bkk

Based on these prices, 3250 vs 2700 to be to pattaya in november.....

Probably would stick with bangkok air as it will save a little time even though 500 baht more~~

I pretty much agree with what Azza is saying.

Flying out of U-Tapao is convenient and is worth paying a little more, how much more depends on your wallet.

Coming back from U-Tapao took the mini van once and another time split a cab with some mongers I met on the plane.
