Club 131 is moving

As 2007 draws to a close and 2008 approaches Club 131 will be closing its doors and a new venue will rise at a new, better location across the soi.

Long discussions on purchasing the remaining 2 year leasehold from Ricky have gone nowhere, so the decision was made to move the bar and all staff and freelancers across the soi. It promises to be a good move.

Much work is being done on the decorations and complete renovations of the bar and upstairs rooms. According to all the contractors, work on the new location will be complete in time to open by New Year's Eve. Whether at the old location or the new one, we will be open for New Years Eve.

So are you going to run a comp for a new name then? How about calling it Franks Place or Frank Benigh (where's Frank in Thai).

Actually we considered bringing the purple wallboards/wallpaper over, but in the end decided to start fresh. However I think you will find shades of purple/mauve in the decor.

Unfortunately, in order to get all the licenses in time a name had to be chosen. So a name competition was not to be.
BTW, I got confirmation from Alis and Porn a few hours ago that the licenses have come in.

Poor guys in the dogs bollox will be mortified - no more visible talent to look at as they sup there pints and complain about queers, while secretly eyeing up the talent and thinking damn, wish I was over in that bar.....
