The last Miss Alcazar?

I have news from a contact that supports something Ziggy heard earlier. There will be no Miss Alcazar 2007 contest this year, and perhaps in the foreseeable future. My contact works at Alcazar, so this should be fairly reliable information.

Most of you probably don't care, but this contest has been an institution in the Thai lb scene as one of the two top lb contests in the country.

So, here are some photos of Miss Alcazar 2006, perhaps the last title holder.

Well, these contests have unlimited initial openings then drop down to the Top 30 after the first part of the week. In the last Miss Alcazar only 28 people showed up for the first round; so it was a failure from the start.

Some girls don't like Miss Alcazar because it has a bikini section which is not good if you have no breasts.

Miss Tiffany has no bikini section and is more international.

Well - like you say - it's part of the ladyboy scene and has limited appeal to farangs.

I find them tortuous and would never go to another one.

Maybe one of the bars could run a 'miss sexy ladyboy' competition which includes a dancing section...

Must speak to Bob about that! His Gold Fingers bar could be a good spot for it.

I wouldn't mind putting up some flash for prizes... Maybe in 2008 we can get a 'pageant' that actually appeals to the punters!

It is the only Ladyboys contest where the ladys appear with bikini
