yah..and after Rossco's explanation on various fees, numerous arrangements....I know less now than I did before :duh Maybe the best approach is to "run until tackled"....or it is "easier to ask forgiveness than to ask permission"......

I asked one of the girls about it on your behalf (I've barfined there many times but never really paid attention to exactly what the barfine was in each case).

You are correct in that the barfine is 500 baht if you buy a lady drink or 600 baht if you do not.

This policy got the girl I was with in trouble with a guy who barfined her for a week and some days would not want to visit Goldfingers so he sent her there with 500 baht to pay the barfine. She would then add 100 baht of her own money rather than tell the customer that since he wasn't coming in the barfine was 600 baht.

No one likes to be ripped off even for a small amount so I can understand why guys feel angry when 500 turns into 600 and they figure that a member of the staff is pulling a fast one.

I think that it would make sense to simply state that the barfine is 600 baht but if you come in and buy a lady drink then you get a discount barfine of 500. A discount for "good" behavior is more customer friendly than a penalty for "bad" behavior. It's all in the marketing.

It's all a bit confusing. I prefer just to have a single rate up front and very clearly spelled out to me. I bet the girls would to as this must have lead to some pretty heated discussions from punters in the past.

Just annoys me when the hidden costs are not clearly advertised. Does this 600 baht include use of the short time rooms and what happens if you take away and use your own room does the bar fine drop?

I agree with Oz, it should be clearly stated what the BF's are. I realise the bar prefers short times as they get their girl back, but they also save on cleaning the ST room.

Why does it have to be so complicated!
