Alcazar show

The major TS cabaret shows are just that.

They are not Monger Matinees. Some guys have struck lucky and 'picked' up a LB from one of the large cabarets but they are not in a majority.

Many of the performers are less attractive without make up BUT that is the point. When they are, on stage, under bright lights, they need 'pancake' makeup.

The 2 major shows are directed at tourists and are family orientated so if you want a Tit and Cock show you are in the wrong place.

I have been to all the major cabarets, here in Pattaya, and have taken tourist friends - they are lyp synch costume dramas - do you really want the performers to actually sing?

When I go to MacDonalds I expect a cheap meal to reduce hunger and not a beautifully presented 5 star meal. Likewise if I visit Mantra I do expect service and a gourmet meal.

You get what you pay for but best to check what you are going to get first.

Pattaya can sometimes delude the tourist into thinking the country is more developed/sophisticated than it is. It is SE Asia and an under developed nation compared to your home lands.

If someone were to come here and wanted to see their first cabaret show, and asked my advice, I'd suggest Tiffany over Alcazar any day. It was the same from the first time I seen them in 2003, until in recent years.
Alcazar may have name recognition, but Tiffany was much better every time I've seen it.

I know what i like .....   Stringfellows gogo cabaret every time      And although not a 'T&C' show, the cabaret at Kitten Club (Obsessions Pattaya) is worth a visit too.

What would you expect from any kind of cabaret in Pattaya? A performance like in the Metropolitan theatre? Come on, they are just tourist traps.
Pattaya is only good for pure sex and nothing else. Much better to go to Stringfellows, Obsessions etc., where the performances are only aimed to better show the girls on offer and, maybe, to start enjoying them in the while.

They've got a huge hall on the highway to Rayong for that one.

Alangkarn is a big Thai culture show. The show included dinner and I think is still priced at 1000 Baht per head.

It is a BIG costume drama with special effects - not on a par with a West End/Broadway production but enjoyable. If you are looking for LBs there are better and more easy ways to achieve that in Pattaya.

In 2013 i decided to give the Alcazar show a try. I had never been to any of the big shows in Thailand including Tiffany show.
So we went over to the theatre on 2nd Road way down towards Naklua. For some reason there seemed to be a hassle getting tickets even though it wasn't full but maybe close? Got a beer while we were waiting.

Show was quite good and well put together, reminded me of a broadway style show.
The costumes were excellent the song and dance quality was very good also.
Don't think this is something I would go to more than once, but now I know what it is like.
We got some photos in the parking lot after.

Good job Crag! I'm sure your lb friend enjoyed the show! Yes, it is an acquired taste, and I'm a big fan of them, but for those who have never gone, it is worthwhile, especially if you take an lb along.

Personally I think the one with the best looking lbs and a bit more glitz is Tiffany Show, just a short way up the road from Alcazar. In Bangkok, I would recommend the Calypso Cabaret. It isn't a big show like Tiffany and Alcazar, but the numbers are a bit more creative.

I used to like going to shows like this more in the past but have lost some interest in live theatre over the years.
In school I was into Drama quite a bit and then worked in a dinner theatre for many years after.
Plus many years of managing bars, clubs, restaurants and promoting events has worn on my need to go to live shows.

I have been to countless shows at gay clubs and other venues related to my work shooting ladyboys for websites.
At the beginning it was really hard to find models, and not many TS escorted in those days.
The best place I found to find new models is at the various drag shows and such. If there is one thing that attracts ladyboys, it is a good drag show. So I have been to shows all over North America.

There is a club in Toronto that does pretty good shows. Of course they are not to the level of the ladyboy shows in Thailand but they do a really good job for a nightclub. Most of the ladies are not as good looking either but there is a few lookers.

Great show for Las Vegas

I saw this Alcazar show in 2012 was blown away. So colorful and grand. If this show went to Las Vegas it would easily become the BEST show in the whole Strip and increase tourism. Maybe the owners are afraid the girls will run away or get married once they land in the USA. So incredibly good. I liked that everybody was allowed to take pics from their seats but didn't want to ruin the atmosphere by using flash. Got a new camera with a larger lens opening for dark shots so will see. I plan to see this show again on my next trip next month. Do these shows change every year? Hate to see the same format again. Yes, you do have to pay B100 to take their pics. Girls need to make money so help out. This is the custom at every ladyboy show all across Thailand. Thanks for the pics. Brings back good memories in addition to my own private photo collection.
